IMO would be good if it was £50 ATM, more if they ever do DC temp limiting that is calibrated a lot nearer to the real world and made the battery swap easier, the other issues I have are subjective and I like small light clean looking mods.

I'm of the opposite opinion, I like nice solid mods and this is, it's well built and worth a little more.........temp control nearer, I'm not even sure it can even do temp control at the moment , it's all over the place....

I was trying to be nice I think they should bin the board and start again, I had high hopes, big disappointment, got a refund and in the end just glad I'm not stuck with a £136 shelf ornament. I would probably be far more bitter if I paid the full £169.

Not going have time for a while to play more but at the moment my opinion is the chip can't control the temp quick enough.... Like before... Edit. I'm Talking well in to the 200s f this time...

Not been on the other forums for months letsavit but it is puzzling you got two duds, when I sent my one back they tried to tell me it worked just like the one they use. I would have believed we were unlucky and got bad ones, but after them saying that and you getting another dud from a completely different supplier... I could go on and on, but at the EOTD they picked a very poor way to do temp limiting with fixed magnitude voltage pulses and use intermittent resistance readings, I don't think the firmware can change that and IMO that method won't get to the Evolve vape quality at or anywhere near the price point. I have seen it be out as much as 330 F, the best it ever did was still over 100 F out and the vape was not quite right even adjusting to taste. Maybe these ravers haven't used temp limiting before, just leave it to 450 F not testing how the temp effects the vape and the flavour or do not test things against a control sample or closest alternative, not trying to dis them but can't comprehend it.

I didn't buy it for the TC so not overly fussed but i put a .09ohm Ni200 coil in my Lemo 2 lastnight before i went to bed and it was vaping away nicely at 340F fired it up this morning and had to turn it up to 420F to get the same vape. To be honest though i've had the same issues with inconsistency with nickel coils on DNA40 devices when left standing for long periods.

To be honest though i've had the same issues with inconsistency with nickel coils on DNA40 devices when left standing for long periods. Only ever had to change the DNA 10 F for connection probs/drifting, I have 2 origenny clones which are my ADV, just use an istick for dog walking and they have only drifted from 0.11 ohm to 0.12 ohm and then not often and is usually the aluminium on the 510 oxidising (yes I can see the dark grey on the vaper towel after cleaning). One is a six weeks old build which has never needed the resistance resetting by removing and selecting new coil. Maybe I have been licky with my 2 DNAs, but one was Oct14 and the other Dec14 from different countries, the second has the screen glitch, but that doesn't effect the vape quality and I rarely notice it, it clears after the screen sleeps anyway. On the SX I had a similar experience to yours that have to change the temp limit a lot in the morning, but how can you accept having to change the temp by 80 F in the morning, it's one thing being out of calibration, but that is all over the place that is clearly not working as it should in such an expensive mod.

Yeah if i had bought it for TC it would definitely annoy me enough to send it back but like i said i didn't buy it for that i don't even bother with TC on my DNA40 devices i'm just not sold on it all i prefer the vape from regular old kanthal to nickel the flavour to me seems muted with nickel. It's for sure at the expensive end of the mass produced market but it's a really nicely built device and i like the design a lot, only thing i really don't like is the way the battery cap is designed, they really should find a way to get to the battery quicker and easier.

Yea Get Off My Cloud with you on the battery cap, something like a bayonet light bulb fitting would be better or even a milled edge you could get an easy grip on. I just uses a porvari spring in my last DNA as if it wasn't providing the current the chip would complain, the board takes care of the inefficiencies as far as it can then goes into soft limiting (turns down the power) or rejects the battery, but still run 25Rs down to 3.4 V @ 32 W with the spring connection.

It can do temp control, comparable to the DNA40.... Couldn't sleep last night so a few more burnt cotton tests and running side by side with another kayfun on a DNA40; DNA40 = 430f Mini m class = 250f So way off what I'm use to but it's running a Kayfun at 35j @ 250f nicely, power way over what the Kayfun can take so it's managing the power and running at temp. My other was the same so don't believe this to be fautly and I haven't updated but can only think other users set at 400f and around have no temp control, just way too high for this mod, they're just running it as a normal wattage mod I think, well in this case joules. So not going hit the classifieds just yet....!

I had quite a bit to say to that and got the £136 I paid and the return postage refunded, it took a month of try this, try that, let us test it. It's temp control but not as we know it Jim Being super careful with clean connection, way more than the DNA needs it get much better, but still s1ht.
