bugger Flash the firmware? Nope haven't done that and i'm not going to unless the vendor tells me to do so, probably won't be able to anyway because you need to access the menu to do it and the thing doesn't respond to at all when the screen goes nutty which it probably will within 20 seconds. I don't want the vendor saying it's not their responsibility because i've upgraded the firmware either. Ask the vendor if it`s okay to try it. Updating firmware should not be considered "out of Warranty" . It`s a perfectly reasonable thing to try and may save them having to replace it.

It is reasonable, but you need to use the menu to put it in link mode to do the update.

This chips hard work and confusing.... the more power (joules) you throw at the coil the more it overruns it's set temp, get the joules and the temp balanced dependent on the ohms, thus the area of the coil it's got to heat and it's a great vape, possibly better than the DNA40..... Now ironically the DNA40 has temp "protection" but i let the chip sort the power out for the temp i want.... It's more accurate in that department or the set power doesn't affect the temp if you wanna look at it that way.
Now is this chip (or designer) really clever or am I just having to learn work arounds to make this good temp controlled device?

Just posting as I'm finding it......But I'm confused to, it's a nice mod in hand, never stated otherwise but the chip is bloody confusing.... Like I said am I finding work arounds just for me or is this the designers attention.... The DNA40 was designed as a "temp protection" chip.... I run it the temp I want and let it sort the power out, not how it was primary designed for.
