Not exactly unattended, bluetooth has a range of around 30ft If you can't see the charger it's unattended to me. Bluetooth stuff on this is just gimmicky, be interested in the charger itself though.

Yep, no substitute for touching the batteries now again to see how hot they are while you are getting used to new batts or charger.
I looked at this thread thinking that it would be a data capture thing that could be great plugged into the right program or even spread sheet the statistical data could be the most powerful tool to see your batteries health, spot fakes and a host of good things. Should have known better it's EFest.

Just measured, it's about a 20ft range I need from where I charge (under my net curtains next to the vase with sticks in) to my bed, looks like I'm good to go.

Looks interesting, there hasn't really been any 6 or higher bay chargers from the trusted makes of chargers yet, great alternative to charging 18650s in a mod cos you can just charge a load of batts at the same time and not worry about charging for quite a few days I find. Also the efest luc4 I found to be decent with their range of charging options going from 0.5amp to 2amp so you can charge things like the samsung 25r's alot faster.
I found the temperature of the charger and batteries of the efest luc v4 to be quite low whilst charging which is good, compared to the nitecore d4 that seems to get really hot and give off some smell of electronics!
Would be good if it gave data on the charge in the form of graphs or something to the phone, maybe into a file where you can compare the same batteries each charge and notice any differences, but as long as it has the functions of the luc v4 too it seems interesting.
Theres hobby chargers with usb outputs that you can get that kinda info but cost a bit more and require you to go through a fair bit of settings to make sure its right for your batteries as well as purchase a separate power adaptor and 18650 battery holder for the charging.

Batteries are or can be explosives. So can you imagine a motor garage, even top of the range garage leaving their batteries on charge via blue tooth. Okay there is a big difference between the 2 but I would never leave, go out or trust Bluetooth or anything else to check and turn off the power to my batteries.
I work with qualified electricians every week and I'm genuinely freaked out at some of the horrific stories i'm told.
Plug it in, watch it and turn it off when its charged, that my motto.

That's a bit long for a motto.

I only charge while awake and at home, i never go out and leave a single battery on charge. However i think this would be useful, as it would allow monitoring without having to constantly keep going to check my charger while getting other stuff done around the house.

It makes me laugh really, (most) everyone saying that it's a bad idea and they NEVER leave their batteries.... B*LLSH*T, I dont believe for one minute that you all put your batteries on charge then sit next to them for a couple of hours, watching & constantly checking their temperature.
You probably do as I do, put them on charge then get on with your usual daily duties, checking them whenever you go back in the room, but NOT leaving them charging if you leave the house/office, if this is the case the bluetooth option (whilst a bit gimmicky) is a good idea, I haven't read anywhere that it turns off the charger (having said that all DECENT chargers cut the charge to at least a trickle when charging is complete), and the bluetooth range (for monitoring) is only around 30ft so you wouldn't be going very far.
I will be looking for full specs on this charger and hopefully a decent review, but I can see this being a useful upgrade

I never charge unattended, I don't look at the charger constantly, but it is a metre away, though I have briefly in the past in a lipo-safe bag, if I have to leave the room I just turn the charger off until I return. It is so easy you just need decent batteries (VTC4 & 25R) and a great charger of two, so with my 2 Xtar SP2s I can charge 4 VTC4s in 70 mins or 25Rs in about 90 mins, I have 18 of these batteries so am never under pressure to charge them ASAP. I know that other members do similar, we are not liars, just responsible adults that decided to be proactive with the safety of their families so buy a battery and charge combination that best allows this.

Thing is, I leave my work laptops on charger 24/7 and bugger off home. I've seen a room full of them in a council office left the same way. I charge my batteries two at a time next to my bed overnight. I never switch my telly completely off. And naturally the fridge is working constantly. How safe is safe?
