Off to Tenerife shortly, I don't want to lose any of my good stuff, is it wise just to buy a ego battery to use in Newcastle airport discreetly ?

will this pass check in , of course I would not use on the plane,

Generally,

ANYTHING containing a battery MUST go in your hand luggage plus any loose batteries in a appropriate battery case.

I put most of my liquids in a Zip Lock bag and put in my suitcase.

I put 1 bottle of liquid in a non marked bottle and put it in a clear zip lock bag to go in hand luggage.

Any tanks in hand luggage need to be empty when going through security. Then I just top up from the bottle carried in hand luggage and Vape away in the departure lounge.

The above is sound advice. I would add:

1) Don't conceal anything, put it all in the tray when going through security.
2) Expect some serious "looking" if your mod is unusual looking - Gatwick were intrigued with my VTR a couple of years ago. Be prepared to show them how it works, this is the time to show your cloud blowing skills
3) Don't forget to ask why the hell you need to go through the palava of putting liquids in bags when no other airports in the world do it and you're going OUT of the country.

Where abouts are you staying in Tenerife shinyitis? Los Cristianos, Las Americas or somewhere else?

I was in Florida in May I brought my smok m65 with me through security and a full Subtank plus a 10ml bottle of juice. I put the full tank and juice in a clear zip lock bag goin through security with no problems

Stick to the advice and no probs at Newcastle Airport,security has seen it all before.
