You cant go wrong with a Riva they are great for starting on your vaping journey. I smoked approx 15 nasties a day and tried almost everything to stop, did have a small success with patches but after 18 months completely smoke free I started again. I was looking through the MSE forum and came across e-cigs, got myself a mini titan, which was okayish for a short while but realised that I needed something more durable, the Riva serves my needs, long lasting batteries 2 days vaping usually, its sturdy and with cartomisers gives a lovely vape. Now e-juices, never realised how many lovely flavours are about, I love trying a different flavour each day and the best bit is its so much cheaper than buying nasties Wish I had started a lot earlier, thats my only regret Have fun on here!

I will say all the advise as above but like you and more i was on 50 rollies per day bought a lookalike but didnt last 5 mins this site led me to some great suppliers and friends. after getting my 1st ecig i actually didnt smoke at all exception being waiting for batterry to charge so make sure whatever you get you have spare batteries couple at least of cartomizers (attomizer and cartridge in one) and e juice. my initial spends on ecig minus the extras was about 40/50 quid then a lavatube on top which has suited my needs more than adequetly being a variable voltage (low forfirst thing then higher as the day goes on for throat hit) everyone raves about the riva but i cant comment as i have never had one but have a good look around certainly get on the suppliers section and email/chat to them with what you normally smoke and they I am sure will advise you well.
welcome good luck and be active on the forum we do like to know how users get on

Thanks to all of you who replied, some very helpfull advice, hints and tips all appreciated. I have ordered the RIVA 1100 with spares and spoke to a very helpfull chap at Vapeescape who advised me on the most suitable juice to start with. I must admit I'm quite excited, like waiting for Christmas day!! Prepareathome may I enquire as to what make of lookalike you use? as this seems like a good idea to me!

Burrows, I still have a couple of look-a-likes, they are very handy when you want to be discrete. I got them on a special offer at TECC but they are none left there at a reasonable price. You could have a look at the SD Keyring on Vapescapes site, it's pretty discrete and not a bad battery life for it's size and will fit the cartomizers etc that you get for your Riva. I'm sure if you wanted one you could phone Jason up to add it to your order

look-a-likes are pictured towards the top... with the ego / riva towards the bottom, they look more of a cigar size
