Thanks for all the continued welcome comments!!! tinkerbella - love the Riva so far, but to be honest I don't really have anything to compare it to. no doubt i'll end up getting something else at some point after due research to do comparison with. Also, it embarrasses the wife a bit when i use it in the pub got a load of goodies ( 6 new flavours arriving today + 2 i started out with ) so will start to give my totally unqualified noob feedback shortly... Q to mods - should i continue to use this thread for that or start another one and add a link from here??? have a great day everyone!! James

Hello James and welcome to AAEC. The Riva is great whatever you compare it to. I only moved on from it because I wanted a new shiny and my riva is black - don't laugh it will get you in the end, you'll want a mod / VV / shiny tube mod / wood box mod or something else. I'm back on the Riva at the mo and loving the amount of vapour I get on it - can barely see out the windscreen when I'm driving

cheers guys... what do you suggest to get the max amount of vapour?? i guess it should really be about flavour but i kind of like the idea of plumes of smoke.... tizerbelle - sounds like you need a trip to specsavers

Glad to see you posting here James We are very easy going about posting links to any suppliers Also, whether you start a new thread or not is up to what you prefer. If it's a review of juices etc that you have tried, then it would be best to post it n the reviews board so folks could find it To get lots of vapour, the best thing is a higher percentage VG content in your juice. You can buy Glycerine from most chemists for about £1.20 for a 100ml bottle (make sure it is pure Glycerine BP) or a small bottle for about 50p from the baking section of a supermarket - again make sure it's pure glycerine without any added flavourings. Adding the glycerine will however, cut the nicotine & flavour of the juice. LR (lower resistance) cartomisers will also help give you more vapour. The Boge LR's are OK for your Riva as they are 2ohm, just don't go for any lower than that.

No apologies needed James It's all a lot to take in to begin with & in fact it's easier to go back & check info posted on your thread than try to remember which PM had what info in it - lol, hope that makes sense

Well if the Riva "embarrasses the wife a bit when i use it in the pub" you will soon encounter a range of goodies on here that make that look really discrete

i take it you are being sarcastic... going to do a few tastings tonight, got my gear from vapeescape ( and a 'with compliments' freebie which is really cool!! )... Having said that, just tried the Mom and Pop RYO 24mg... initially not to my taste at all, seems more like pipe tobacco... but after a nice cup of tea and a few more tokes, might change my mind... its all about experimenting i guess )) Have a great day all!!

thats just plain crazy!!! like those baseball caps with beer-can holders on the side and straws to drink from.. still not getting on with this Mom and Pop RYO, but, saying that, might be nicer with a malt whisky than a cup of tea... might have to experiment with that after work
