Having said that, thought it tasted a bit dry, like i had not filled it up enough, so put some more liquid in, let it stand for a few minutes and now it tastes like a combination of burnt hair and farts.... think i must be doing something wrong.. maybe a little more research/youtube is in order before i ruin any more of my purchases....

DiscoDes... yep, put about 0.75cm in latex and slowly drew it in through the thread end. then dripped slowly into the top until looked well soaked.... then blew through the hole in the centre to clear out any liquid... dried it off and let it stand for 10/15 minutes..... is that right?????

On the first fill, I'd of kept dripping a few drops once the rest had soaked in untill a drop came out of the bottom connector, then blow through and leave to stand for a few seconds. The first fill is the most important one and if you have a burnt taste start from the off it may not go away. So I'd rather over fill then underfill to start with.

That's about right James, but you also need to keep topping it up as you vape.

Karma - i got one of those metal syringe caps when i did my first order, so might try using that, although it just feels a bit 'drug paraphernalia' to use it.

further feedback on the Mom and Pop RYO. took a pipe full to the pub with me tonight and had it with a few pints of Harvey's Sussex Best ( for those of you not in the know, one of three of the best beers in the multiverse ) and it kind of hit the spot...

which makes me think that different blends for different situations has to be the way... everyday vape while working at home during the day probably aint the same one you'd take out for a night on the ales...

But i can now see that something i might initially dislike could change pretty rapidly depending on situation... when i start reviewing my flavours i might be so bold as to suggest what i think they might be best enjoyed with ( e.g. red burgundy with epoisses cheese ) i.e 'best vaped with a strong scrumpy'... sounds a bit pretentious, but whadd'ya think?

As far as filling cartos goes, practice makes perfect and even then, we still make mistakes from time to time.

I'm a bit clumsy and got into a teribble mess with a syringe cap, that's why I suggested the 'spikey thing', lol

at first it does seem a bit odd all these flavours to vape, i'm starting to come round now though. Just buy small bottles/good offers and try a few. If you don't quite like them at first or go off them it's worth waiting a couple of weeks and trying them again!

I think you are right though, different situations and different times of day require different vapes. Ciggies were neve this much fun, lol

It does take a little time, just to get the hang and feel of the ' equipment ' James . . . but it won't take you long, you'll be ohmming with the rest of us, sooner than you know!

back from the pub now so having a cuppa' and have moved back to the HS Delight ( so far, favourite ).. incidentally, i got the 18mg one, will the 24mg actually really taste any different? one thing i miss from ciggys is that wobbly head rush ( which you kind of don't like, but actually do like ) from the first fag of the day with a coffee...

A higher mg will give you more of a ' rush ' whether you'll enjoy it or not, I'm not so sure . . . if I vape too much and haven't eaten, that nic buzz makes me feel a bit queasy.

It shouldn't in theory be any different . . . but it might be a smidge . . . depending on how/what base nic the Vendor uses.

Honestly, I'd hang fire for just a bit on getting the bucket of GS, I did that with French Pipe, can't bear the stuff now.

Fortunately, I've a Menthol tobacco vaper friend, so I've popped a few crystals in to the bottles of FP I stock piled and they're happily vaping it still.

Once you find that vaping works for you as an alternative to ciggies, then you can really enjoy the fun of it I reckon James.
