Anyone else had this problem? I've been trying to place an order at FT using both Paypal and a gift certificate. It would not allow me to do it I wanted to use a $10.36 gift certificate against an item costing just over $60 but would it let me do it, oh no it wouldn't I tried everything, using secure checkout - it wanted my card details - no way I tried going the Paypal route but there was nowhere to place a gift certificate I only had the gift certificate coz I cancelled an item previously, which was paid by Paypal. I'm sure I've done it before, part paid by Paypal with a gift certificate, mind you it was a long time ago. Anyway, I've sent in a support ticket asking why we can't pay the balance via Paypal but obviously gotta wait a day for a response

Of I recall correctly, if you go through to the second checkout without picking paypal there's a page for payment options that also had a redeem gift certificate option and then you can still choose paypal option after its minuses off the gift certificate

Pepperty there were payment options but only bank cards and a bitcoin option, no Paypal option. I checked and checked and checked the page looking everywhere for a Paypal option but nothing

toots is right - the paypal option seems to have disappeared from the secure payment page... hopefully it's a glitch toots and will be working again tomorrow? Have you raised a ticket with them? I've always found them pretty responsive when I have in the past - and particularly if it's preventing you from placing an order

You could order something else with paypal to the value of what you actually want minus your existing gift cert then cancal the new order. Then use your your two gift Cerys to order what you want, assuming it's possible to apply two gift cents to one order.

I did actually think of doing all that, but then I thought what if something goes wrong and I end up with 2 gift certificates that I can't do anything with till I've spoken to support, so I caved in and just went ahead and ordered the $60 dollar item via Paypal. I'm also impatient when it comes to wanting another shiny toy to play with and I only had just enough in my Paypal account to pay for the new toy, so didn't want to risk it

I was looking to buy a few bits from FT, but I could only pay for some of them with Bit Coin, and can't be faffed to sign up for that. I have heard about Bit Coin, but I am not going to sign up for something I don't have a clue about.
