Not been recalled, but it should be, a right pile of crap, don't care about the temp issues, but the battery does not seem to be what's stated, and now whilst it still technically works, I am unable to adjust the watts up or down, so it's a bit hit and miss, so no matter how cheap it is,i don't recommend it, and it's in the don't buy from again pile

If you bought it in the UK Bluefish send it back as not fit for purpose. If you bought it from China give them rocks and get a refund!

Hmm apart from temp control being pants (not used it as never used a nickel coil) but mine seems to be fine, maybe you got a dodgy one mate

Moved your thread onto the General Board Bluefish as it's not a Manufacturer's/Vendor's Recall of a product with ' recognized ' faults or safety issues.

Im sure you have, but did you try a H/W reset with a pin or similar thru the pin hole on the button side?
Mine has been my everyday mod for weeks now, no probs and great battery life on its 4th day atm and the charge is getting low on the screen icon indicator..
a leaky atty killed my istick.. any leaky attys been sat on your M80 ??

Yeah done the reset a few times no joy phatfil As to leaky attys, one did leak some juice, but not loads and there was none in the connector as it had come out the side. Ordered a 50w istick to replace it as the battery lasts longer on that, and it is an altogether better mod imo.

i had a similar problem with my zna clone mod, i could not unlock the up/down buttons, there was a fix which was provided by folks in here, i dont know if the same keypress combo will have the same effect on the m80, it probably wont But there may be a different key combo for the m80 worth searching for?? Link to the ZNA Clone Thread and fix links

BTW the leaky atty was a Smok as well, and whilst it gives a very good vape, it does seem to dribble if the level gets to low, i.e. about a third left, so the next atty will probably be another Subtank.

the atty that leaked on my istick 50w was a UD Zephyrus i had failed to coil and wick it without it leaking HUGE Juice channels!! so had fitted the supplied occ head instead filled up vaped for a few hours and sat it to one side, next day the tank was empty and the istick was dead, ive pulled it and have been drying it for a week but mods should be juiceproof its got to be a fairly common problem??

phatfil I totally agree all mods should be juice proof and I would say the istick is a lot more juice proof than the smok, whilst I didn't think juice was the cause of the issue, I agree that it was possible, but as it has turned out to be the cause was............................................................................................................. it had somehow got turned onto the mech mode setting, set it back to normal and were back in business, still don't recommend it though, what with the high pitched whine it makes every time you press the button till the screen goes dark, not brilliant battery life, poor juicability, and the charger port on the bottom, i'll stop now lol still look on the bright side, it lives and I now have another mod on it's way, mrs will kill me haha

Smok don't seem to be able to produce a robust mod at the moment. I have an M65 which refuses to hold the chosen wattage, even after taking it slightly part and cleaning the contacts as recommended to me via a link elsewhere on here. The problem it seems is that the chrome plating on the bottom and top sections is of course not a very good conductor, so this fix should nave sorted it but as soon as the battery drops to about 80% it decides to drop the wattage by about 5-6w so even firing a subtank at 25w leaves me sucking like mad at 18w I've now relegated this to the 'works with my kayfuns/Taifuns' pile and have invested in another MVP3, this time the Pro with extra battery life and fires to 60w - plenty for me, and I love the rugged robustness of these mods.

The high pitched whine is the infamous pulse width modulation rattle snake sound. It usually happens when the wattage is set lower than the resistance of the coil right? I really like my m80 plus but it's a bit of a shame about the plate at the top not being leak proof you have to watch that cos if there's a leaky atty on it there is potential for the juice to leak in between the plate and the inside of the mod I regularly unscrew that plate and find a bit of gunky juice on the lip there it's never actually got down into the workings of the mod but I have to keep my eye on whether the atty is leaking or not if it is I don't use it on my m80 I use a different one. It's a pita though really isn't it. Apart from that mine works good. Just the temperature control is rubish but I didn't buy it for that anyway.

think i might invest in a fresh tube of feranox lsx silicone thread sealer a magic sealing compount LINKYand smear a bead into every mod joint and thread gap susceptible to juice ingress.. most of my attys are fine but 3 or 4 tanks can weep a lil juice if stood a while..
