hi all sure some of you have done this ,i know how to to do it from youtube vids ...but cant seem to to .5 end up with .7 .8 using 80/20 wire ...do you leave leave spaces between coils ? or close up seems on vids people use different size coils anywhere between 3.5 mm and 2mm tried quite a few combinations...liked the 3mm coils as easy to wick ...but at my calcs that would be 3 wraps ....doesnt seem enough ,i tried the steam coil calc but doest come out right ,wondered if anybody had acheived 0.5 on it and how save me making loads more ...mind you fun doing just, disappointing when not achieved ..if not i will persevere...i will get it to do it !!! lol
thanks for any help russ

What is 80/20 wire? What gauge wire are you using?

How about resistant to non- resistant wire? I've seen it about in like 6" lengths somewhere (sorry this doesn't help)

Microcoiling means all the wraps touch together in a solid coil, 5 loose wraps where thewraps don't touch will give you pretty much the same result banditruss

Never heard of this 80/20 wire your on about , but possibly as I don't bother with much else than Kanthal A1 and NI200 from Stealthvape for my builds.
If your using a regulated mod with the Occ coils your building there's no need to even go Sub ohm, just build to 1.2-1.4 ohm, I never get too het up about the resistance when using a reg mod. Totally different if your on a Mech though!
