Am I right in thinking that the odd bays (1,3) share the same channel for charging and the even bays (2,4) on the other channel?
Usage and the scant documentation I've seen seems to confirm this(current seems to be shared when charging two cells on 1 and 3 or two and 4 going by charge times. Can anyone confirm?
Mainly interested in this to keep cells balanced for dual battery setups.

yes that is how it works, but it doesnt necessarily translate into "you must use those channels for married batteries" etc but you are welcome to use it like that if it helps with the comfort factor.

The only time it matters is charging 2 or 3 batteries as a battery that has a channel to it's self gets more current, or to put it another way the max charge rate is halved if 2 batteries share a channel. It is very common on 4 bay chargers I cant think of one that doesn't behave like this and why I prefer 2 bay models.
