So I decided to buy a rebuildable. Went for the lemo v2. I got this kanthal Kanthal A1 Type Resistance Wire - 0.32mm (28AWG) - 25 Metre Spool - 17.97 ohms/m www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00UYRB3VE/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_OdcGvbDFZF54MAnd this coil jig Kuro Concepts Koiler Coiler RDA Coil Building Wire Winding Jig Tool RBA RBDA CW-30 Winder www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00TM097LW/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_iecGvbVFY3PCKThe coils are perfect. 8 wraps. Problem? I can't get the coil onto the bloody build deck. The wire won't catch under the screws and I can't get it into the post holes without mangling the coil. On the one attempt I actually did get it in the post holes it read as 2.9ohms then refused to fire and I got a check atomiser error on all my mods. Surely it can't be this hard? What am I doing wrong? Do I have the wrong wire? Any advice appreciated before I throw it all in the bin and go back to protanks.

Keep the coiling tool in the coil whilst you insert the ends into the post holes and tighten down. Ensure the ends are trimmed and make sure no part of the coil is touching any part of the attie, or it will cause a short.

I use .4mm 26awg wire in mine it fits under the screws ok and in the post holes if i wanted to use them, the coil the Lemo comes fitted with is 26awg.
Bit difficult to figure out what is wrong without seeing the build but here's a build video for the Lemo V1, the deck is pretty much the same as the V2 and the build method is identical.

The coil jig is too big and gets in the way (you can't remove the post from it) Have found a small screw driver. Will try that. Is 8 wraps right? I'm aiming for around 1.2 ohms.

Got it to catch but it's reading 1.87ohms Yep that is about right. 8 wraps of .32mm Kanthal, around 3mm jig, should give 1.8ish ohms.

It's reading 1.68ohms. But it's glowing from the outside in. Not inside out. How do I get it to glow from the inside out? How many wraps for 1.2ohms?

Agh this was a bad idea. I clearly don't have the brain power to build a bloody coil Edit. Sorry. The settings where there. Thanks! Will try 7 wraps now.

6/5 wraps should give you about 1.2ohms.
If it is glowing, then you need to pinch the coils gently together.......so fire it for a few seconds so it glows, take your finger off the fire button, then pinch the coil, repeat until it glows from centre towards the outside.

On steam Engine if you change the Inner diameter of coil to 3 it will give you the result of 5 full wraps or 6/5 half wraps.

Are you feeding the legs of the coil through the posts, tightening down and then trimming of the excess wire. It sounded odd that you were having trouble getting one to catch...... like you were trying to get the very end of the leg under the screw.

I can't actually get it into the post holes without making the coil. So as in the video. Wrapping around the screws. Tightening them then trimming the excess.
