Okay. 6 wraps. Reading as 1.43ohms. Glowing as it should from the inside out. I'm trying to take a pic but my phone won't focus. Edit. Crap pic I know but does it look okay? Don't want to try and wick and fill a tank if its all wrong.

Yes, looks absolutely great to me. Can be a struggle at times, for sure, lol, but you learn more each time and it's really interesting. Well done!

Was hard work but (rather sadly) massively rewarding when I finally got it right! That coil jig is miraculous. Perfect coils in seconds.

Was about to try and get the coil in and though hold on. Best take the battery out. Used the vamo to check it then over to the m80 once it was sorted.

Thanks to all for the tips and patience!
Once I found the 3mm small screw driver it was a lot easier. Still took a few tries to gent it right and have a coil glowing from the outside in.
I even managed to fill it with zero leaks! Was convinced it's leak out the air holes as I'd seen on a few vids.
Before this I'd only used protanks so didn't really get the whole lung hits thing.
An hour after building my first rta I'm now taking massive lung hits. Air flow wide open. Amazing!
Was convinced mouth to lung was the way I'd always vape. What a difference massive air flow makes.
Got a few igo l drippers on the way from FT to practice on.
Will the wire and 3mm coiler be okay for those or should I order thinner wire and the thinner coiler?

Hehe Jerri I'll be in the same position as you soon, making my very first coil, but luckily I will have tim showing me how to do it, he's coming over to Tenerife early July and we'll be building all sorts of coils on different tanks apparently. On my own I wouldn't even know where to start And tim will also be bringing me over all the kit I need to get started on building my own coils Edit: Oh & well done for mastering it all on your own

It's amazing. I did try to make my own with a screw driver but they were awful. The jig makes perfect coils in seconds.

Thanks. I have the 3mm one. Just not sure if that's too big for coils in the igo l.

If your coiling for the subtank and want sub ohm coils, I would get some thicker wire 0.4mm(26awg), Now you can relax revisit the steam engine link and have a play about once you have it sussed it is an invaluable tool for determining what wire and coil count to use arround what sized mandrel

Lots of members here know I live in Tenerife so it would be good to be tagged anytime someone is coming over for their hols. Anyway, I'm looking forward to Tim coming over in a couple of weeks time. Sounds like we're gonna spend quite some time together, he's gonna need some patience teaching me how to coil the rba's He'll probably be doing this by the time we're finished digging his own grave
