Wondered if anyone had tried this out yet. My potential problem is the wicking on the sides. I'm assuming you can't drain the tank before filling like you can with the original. or are there additional grooves as in t'other. I would just like to know how low you can go. A full tank lasts me the day when working, and I would like that to continue. Ta

You are right, as the holes on the coil housing are higher up this will mean you cannot drain the tank fully with flush wicks. However if you leave long "tails" on the wicks you could have these going down to the bottom of the tank, like with the old CE4's and Vivi Nova Tanks.

Looks like that DiscoDes. I may have to put a wanted ad up for the old version when people start to get their V2's. I don't mind having to use pliers now and again on the old one. It's only once a month. Mind you, that observation never went down well with the wife.

If running the tank right down is a priority you'd be better drilling holes in the V1 then you'd have the best of both.

I have not drilled all my original RBA's, I just widened the juice channels and what a difference! I can still run to the base of the tank, and it's quite happy vaping away at the wattages I use which are 20-28 w.
I have two of the new RBA heads on order from FT, so intend to see what difference there is when they arrive.

Ta Unless you're cloud chasing then the v2 deck holds no real advantage over the V1 tbh Personally, I have little need for that kind of wicking ability as on the rare occasions that I cloud chase I have a dedicated tank or dripper for it. But, should you wish to use the v2 then as DiscoDes says, just run some cotton down to the base. You won't need much at all, just ensure that the main bulk of the cotton is sufficiently plugging them holes and let a thin slither run to the base and that will allow a constant feed to the main wick and will be virtually invisible through the tank window

Ta all. I'm having no wicking issues, and I don't do clouds. They seem to have run out of the V1 rba on FT. Have to be myepack.
