sorry guys yet another question for my son.....now hes sorted with the artic tank/Herakles...he wants a higher watt mod hes not sure between ipv4 or the sigelei 150w (hes got ivpmin2 70w atm.) i know the ivp has temp control and sx330 chip which is great...but hes not sure if he needs the temp control so then looked at the sigelei 150 which no temp control but loads of watts as i said before he's a cloud chaser so wants high watts ......that said surly the 100w ipv4 is enough...and got good chip with tc.....and then you tend to hear nothing but good reports on the sigelei so.....what are your opions/comments thanks guys .....oohh and im sure phatfil will be first cheers russ

As much as I love Sigelei.....I would tell him to get the ipv4...........100watts will give monster clouds with the right build.........and it future proofs him in case he wants temp control further down the line.

I passed on the IPV4, seems shoddily knocked together from what i see. Sigelei do have a new 150w with TC banditruss, haven't seen much on it though. www.sigelei.com/goods.php?id=622I do like the SnowWolf 200w, the one i have is a well built solid bit of kit and i haven't had any issues with the board as yet, greyhaze have it for £89 in the UK if youre in a hurry or if you shop about you can find it for between £60 and £70 from the Chinese sites.

sorry for the late response banditruss my usual uniformed attention was elsewhere today googling for an arduino solution to connect wirelessly to a stc1000 controller with the +/p hack by alphaomega@homebrewtalk.. and it took longer than expected to unearth a copy n paste prototype.. fwiw ive opted to treat myself to a snowwolf via gearbest I hate to suggest it after all the hassle with GB discount codes but the discount code "SW200W" dropped the price to circa £60 tho the price of that mod on GB has yo-yo ed upto $200 at times in recent weeks..

Bit of a hi-jack, but for me, I am interesting in TC, but not just yet. I am also thinking of a higher wattage mod (nice round 100W probably), and would probably settle for one without TC built in, because as it is now becoming so popular in maybe 5-6 months time there will be better TC mods on sale, when many of the tech details have been sorted out.
