Got a coolfire 4 today and a subtank mini. Coiled the rba and the ohms are jumping all over the place. Thought it was the subtank but can't see a problem. Put the subtank on the m80 and ohms are solid. 1.35ohms, coil glowing as it should etc.
Put the lemo on the coolfire (I've I've been vaping the lemo fine all day on the m80 1.4ohms) and the ohms are jumping all over the place.
Tried a few tanks on the coolfire and the ohms jump with every tank.
Any advice?
Faulty coolfire?

@jerri I'd say faulty coolfire, as it's worked fine on everything else

It's now jumping between 1.35ohms and 1.4 it will show 1.35 then go up 0.1 to 1.4ohms then reset to 1.35ohms.

I've spoke to the guy who owns the shop I got it from. He says it looks normal (sent him a vid of it jumping in ohms).
So for anyone who has one is it normal?
I don't want to be wasting everyone's time and my own cash sending it back if this is normal for the mod.

And it does it with every single tank. If I'm over reacting fair enough. It just doesn't seem 'normal' for a mod to fluctuate ohms with every single tank.

In my opinion It would be better for you if you could get a refund/exchange on it, otherwise i think you will only be concerned that there is something wrong with it, once you loss confidence in a mod whatever anyone tells you, you will never be totally happy with it

I'm just bloody annoyed. I waited a week for hermes delivery and now I've got to be out of pocket sending it back and wait another week again no doubt for hermes delivery.

Pain In the arse mate, If they send you another one and it does the same at least you know its the mod, personally i would not be happy, ive had a fair few mods and none have ever done that, unless i hadnt tightened a screw down properly,

I think that if the ohms are jumping, then it can be a sign of a bad earth , loose internal connection

Every mod I've ever owned has only jumped about if there's been an issue with the coil. I'll send it back Monday and ask them to send it via RM not hermes if possible. On the plus side the sub tank is great and I'm really enjoying it. I got a cool red drip tip and the coolfire in red and it looks fantastic together so when I get the replacement I'll be a happy vaper indeed. Poor tank looks gigantic on the 20w istick which it's currently sat on haha.

I have one. Mine does the same. It calculates the resistance on firing. There are so many variables with this method it is only to be expected. A 0.05 variation is quite acceptable.

A 0.05Ohm resolution is nothing out of the ordinary. Even kanthal resistance will rise slightly when heated. The mod may say 1.35 for a 1.37Ohm coil. If the coil rises to 1.38 or higher the reading will jump to 1.40.
Important thing: how does it vape?

I'm just confused now to be honest. Have spoken to a few people here, on UKV and a few FB groups. Some say there's does it, some say there's doesn't do it. I watched about twenty YouTube reviews before buying and non mentioned it. Not even Busardo and he coveres literally everything. In an hour long review. And during the torture test and cut off test the ohms stayed solid. I'm not saying you are wrong btw, just explaining why I'm now confused. I've emailed innokin. Surely they can tell me 100% either way.
