I'm curious as to why both draws are being held on the saturday? I'd guess that's because it's the day when the maximum number of people are there Digi . . . . not everyone can or wants to stay overnight Friday/Saturday. It would maybe be a little tough on someone who has attended the ' main event ' to not be around for the Raffles? They are a big, big part of the day - even if you don't win anything, there's the anticipation.

That's a new twist for this year . . . . I'd guess again, that the Organisers will see how well it's attended and perhaps review the Raffle timings for the event next year?

Vapefest used to only be one day, now it's two, or even three if you're camping.
Each day has it's own flavour.
Friday evening is when the campers and vendors make their own entertainment - BBQs and ill advised boozing.
Saturday is the main event with the maximum number of people, raffles, and other shenanigans.
Sunday is the chill out day. Most of the mercenaries, the "Free Shit" grabbers, and the tourists will have gone home. There'll still be the vendors's marquees, live music, food and drink, but it'll be a slightly more relaxed atmosphere and less of a crush. It's the day that I'm most looking forward to.

As an additional note to this...
I'm a vaper too... Saturday is about work, Sunday is the bit where I'll (hopefully) get to go round and actually enjoy it.
To be honest this is my reason for planning it out like this, I want to enjoy it too as do the rest of the committee.

It's more like BE THERE, OR BE SQUARE I think. An incentive to stay longer...
