What with new Kanger cotton coils for old clearos, I'm tempted to bag a selection and take a step back with my 9-5 vaping. Can't find much in the way of reviews, but it'd be really nice to see some of the (my) mods (evic, vamo, sid, lavatube 18350 v.1) make a return. Obviously talking quite a few packs (5 or more?), but not much coming through yet about performance. Anybody know anything?

Anybody know anything? Nope . . . but can't you just re-wick with Japanese Cotton anyway djs to find out? Or am I missing something obvious here, which wouldn't be for the first time.

That would be disappointing. I was kind of hoping the off the shelf ones would be like the homemade ones we were all making 18 months ago.... only without the hassle. Maybe you're right. Perhaps a small test order first? see - talked myself down already...

Maybe VE Jason could advise as he stocks the new style.

The new coils are a vertical coil, rather than horizontal and they use Japenese Cotton, rather than silica.
From my usage of the VOCC ones - they are a big improvement over the old coils - but I find you do need to prime them with a couple of drops first and you obviously can't dry burn them.
The taste is cleaner and although I'm usually one to change the coil every week anyway - a few of the customers are saying they are getting longer out of them than the old coil.

Aren't the VOCC vertical and the SOCC and TOCC horizontal coils? Theoretically the last 2 should be straightforward to rewick.
