I think that's a lovely heartfelt poem, my only comment would be to perhaps reword one line to :-
Or we can see him in our minds and cherish him in our hearts everyday

 Wonderful that you had such a great relationship with him & I'm really sorry for your loss, Balllsy. As for your eulogy, it is from your heart. One line ending "Or we can celebrate what a big part of our life you were." maybe change the end to 'he was'.  Thoughts are with you & yours. |

Thinking of you and your family at this sad time Balllsy. Your poem is lovely as it comes from the heart . . . . perhaps keep your options open as right now the grief is very ' raw ' for you, in a few days you might feel able ( and want ) to say a few words before delivering your poem at his service. Whatever you do decide to do or say I'm sure your Father-in-Law would have been greatly touched by your words.  |
