I know it's been asked many times but things change so quickly. I'm off to Turkey at the end of the week and I know Manchester airport has a good understanding of vape gear but not sure about Turkey
A couple of years ago I ended up surrounded by armed airport police in Antalya when their baggage scanners picked up my young sons toy gun in the case. Needless to say I am a bit nervous whenever I go back :-)
This year is my family holiday without the stinkies so I want to make sure I have no awkward security moments
My choice is therefore
20 watt istick and nautilus mini - no batteries to carry Sx mini and selection of attys Squonker and atty
I'd hate to see anything being confiscated but the istick would be the lesser of worries. That said I do like my sub ohm and the istick just can't cope
Anybody been through Antalya recently and has any tips?
Thanks in advance

Generally,
ANYTHING containing a battery MUST go in your hand luggage plus any loose batteries in a appropriate battery case.
I put and other Mods, Tanks (emptied) and chargers in my suitcase.
I put most of my liquids in a Zip Lock bag and put in my suitcase.
I usually carry 1 mod in my hand luggage to use in the airport during transfer or for when I arrive, this must be turned off when going through security.
I put 1 bottle of liquid in a non marked bottle and put it in a clear zip lock bag to go in hand luggage.
Any tanks in hand luggage need to be empty when going through security. Then I just top up from the bottle carried in hand luggage and Vape away in the departure lounge.
Follow these rules wherever you are flying and all should be fine.

That's good news then
Never thought about having the tank empty on way through security. I don't vape in front of the kids anyway so empty tank for the first part won't be a problem In fact I'd probably get away with just the nautilus and maybe a silo on the istick. It's tricky to vape on a water slide :-)

I use a dripper for the journey, and coupled to an 18350 Nemmy it's very handy for 'stealth' work

Came back through Dalaman a few weeks ago and their were extra security checks in place before boarding due to the stuff happening in Tunisia. They still didn't bat an eye lid at my istick when I put it in the tray with tank still attached and full of liquid. Don't know about Antalya though.

I took 4 mods and 6 tanks with me to Tenerife. All in hand luggage. All juice in my suitcase in the hold. 3 empty tanks, three with juice in. Two of the mods were turned on, and one was a mech (no on/off), nothing was mentioned. All batteries were fully charged before I left home (I believe it is safer) and spares in proper battery boxes. Got searched on both flights. No problems with what I had, but it was an inconvenience. I don't know if would be the same in Turkey though.
Oh, the pressure drop may (will) cause you tanks to leak. Mine did. All three with juice in leaked. One of them completely emptied (Cthulhu).

Thanks all
Leaking tanks not what I want. I think I see the need to take the squonker for flight days and mod for during the week. No leaking tanks to worry about and I can pack them empty
I have a battery box so that's no problem and the squonker shouldn't give security any concerns
