Higher vg is best for sub ohm. I tend to use 70vg/30pg as I still like a bit of throat hit

Although I couldn't fire my previous device on 0.3 coil that I have built I managed to do it for 0.4 ohm ones. Running it at 30W was a mistake though as I couldn't get it hot enough to produce satisfying amount on flavour and vapour. So as it was a vv/vw device I've changed the setting to use the volts and run that coil at 5.5V which works out something like 75.6W according to steam engine and was really happy with it. However I was using fogger v5 tank and nearly pure VG liquid, so this might be the reason I was more happy with it. Also I have converted to lung hits instead of mouth to lung.

A .3 coil will draw 58W from a fresh battery minus the electronics. A .4 coil will draw 44W from the same, A .5 coil will draw 35W I use 0.3 lowest I can go on my subox mini. And it will fire at any wattage up to 50 that I use. Obviously takes longer to heat up though. So how can 0.3 draw 58w if 50 is the max I have available? The wattage ohm volt side of things I never really learnt. Should I watch the watts I use based on ohms?

The original poster was referring to minus electronics so meant a mech mod. With a regulated mod the electronics can reduce the output voltage lower than the battery voltage to achieve your wattage setting
