Hi charleski and welcome
I don't think anyone is that worried about their own personal problems, but we may like to hear of your own ideas about vaping when you have the time.

Hi Whufc71
I don't want to hijack Fashashs thread (though I have to say this has to be the most off topic forum I've had the ultimate pleasure of being a member of ehe) and yeah, I did the same.. I probably..maybe.. shouldnt even be vaping as my lung collapsed ( was in hospital for a week) which is was forced my move to quit analogues, but I noticed I was paranoid all the time about it, so bought a bp monitor and an oxymeter etc.. so I can keep an eye on my own vitals etc.
but the first time I used the bp monitor my mind got me into an anxious state so it course it went up lol.. doh!.. so I breathed, relaxed... and tried again and it was fine..
the only thing now is I'm addicted to checking everyone else blood pressure when they come round lol

Love this forum everyone's so friendly and i missed the banter when i was away testing yeah, it was freaky and scary.. but it's strange how life is.. I mean if that hadn't happened, I would still be smoking analogues, probably never encoutered ecigs etc, and never met all the amazing folk here etc, (probably wouldn't of spent in excess of £200 on ecig stuf too but thats a different thread lol).. but in a way it had a positive outcome, apart from constant worrying about it, though that gets less as time passes.. and yeah, you can all come round to mine:) we will have a ball!.. and we can even have competitions to see who has the lowest bp and highest oxygen saturations levels.. ahh.. now that's a party lol.. I got it from my local chemist.. its made by Kintetik.. but I think boots, llloyds, Asda and Argos both sell all the various kit etc, the oxymeter I got off ebay.

Yeh i think i'm in that ball park re money spent maybe more but trying to look at the bigger picture for later on To bring it back on track to the original post in the last couple of weeks i've had chats with two doctors and a triage nurse The triage nurse knew nothing of e-cigs but was interested and the two doctors one a GP the other a doctor at the hospital were interested, knew of e-cigs and agreed that there had been no clinical trials but at no point did either of them say STOP and chase me out the room and tell me to stay with analogues. I just think it's a learning curve for all involved but no one is encouraging tobacco smoke (well apart from the Government for tax purposes) On a side note been in two supermarkets today, they now have sliding doors on the cigarette/tobacco to hide the nasties How silly is that knew it was coming but hey Wasn't stopping anyone buying and the staff were like this is stupid we have to try and remember what door they are behind bit like a quiz show

Lol.. Quiz show! What's behind door number 3....
maybe thats kind of the psychology behind it too, to make it more and more uncomfotable/embarresing for people to buy nasties etc.. odd really, I'm sure they have a lot more in the pipes though yet to be released.. as I Imagine the tobacco industry are well aware of the Ecig Markets etc.. so be interesting to see what develops/shows up in the next couple of years regarding smoking etc. hmm.. these are very interesting times...

WHAT a brilliant thread - we need a 'Like' button for the whole thing!! Simultaneously informative, responsible and supportive; an absolute textbook example of what AAE-C can be at it's very best. Kudos to everyone who has contributed to this one and welcome indeed to Charleski. I do sincerely hope you will have the time (and inclination!) to drop by regularly. Input and opinion from a qualified medic who also vapes themself really would be enormously valued here.

I have had high BP for a while and am on meds for it. After 11 months of vaping my BP is almost normal and the meds have been reduced. Make of that what you will.

I've been lucky. My blood pressure's always been spot on. Except for when someone puts my back up by rubbishing e cigs, then my BP *hypothetically* goes up.

Possibly, but only because your body would go into 'stress mode' as it wouldn't be getting it's cigarette fix. Not just the nicotine, but all the other rubbish in cigarettes too. The longer you've smoked, the more likely it would be. It would only be temporary though - if it did happen that is. Sounds like your practice nurse was a smoker!

Probably - I've had no end of conflicting advice from medical folk and these days I try and do my own research.
