Been working on a few box mods engravings over the past few days and thought i would show some of them off. To be honest these are only test mods. For the bikers out there who recognise the mistake with the engraving on the front box in the second picture i know and I'm gutted lol. Happy to receive any comments. Thanks for looking.

@piper. No wonder it's so perfect. I've been trying freehand with a dremel type tool, but I'm not after the perfection engraving. I'm looking for a hand carved effect, old and rustic but I still have a long way to go. I haven't got round to mod making yet although I have all the gear now. My hobby has gone another way after making a wooden toolbox and getting some more tools I've just made some mahogany tankards. First time I've tried proper woodwork in 40 years lol.

Are you using a wood lathe for the wooden tankards?

I've just zoomed in the skull head carving. It's fantastic. I'll get in the shed tomorrow and take a pic or 2 of what I've been up to.

No lathes at all. Basically 15 pieces of wood with a 12deg angle on both sides joined together gives the circle.
