Sarky, to make sure I'm right about it being the RN4081, I'm more than happy to send my old battery to you. It's over 2 years old & pretty dead but you could use it just to check that the threads really are compatible with your charger & cartomisers. If you want me to send it to you, PM me with your address.

Could ask folks that have 510's to confirm that this isn't one? I know the also have male threads on the atomisers/cartomisers but I think they look slightly different. Plus I believe the batteries are longer? Edit. Scylla, apologies, I don't know how I missed your post up there Lol I have been typing some of my replies while talking to someone on the phone so that's my excuse

Looks a lot like the disposable ecig I first bought. If it is, then they are not refillable.

It's most likely an RN4081 type as most of the vendors that do two piece kits with cartomisers that aren't KR808D-1 style, are RN4081 style. However, I would think the best thing to do is to ask the question directly to the vendor. If they won't confirm it, then follow through with the offers on here for comparisons with old batteries and such-like.
I've heard some good things about the RN4081 cartomisers but I do fail to see how it would be possible to get the equivalent of 40 cigarettes out of each cartomiser unless it were at least double the size...........

Thanks everyone Foxy, although the threads are similar with that 510 carto, it's the groove in the top for airflow that is different. The 4081 wouldn't need that groove due to the cut outs in the threads on the battery - I think. Hissie, I'm sure that as it takes cartomisers then it is refillable "It's most likely an RN4081 type as most of the vendors that do two piece kits with cartomisers that aren't KR808D-1 style, are RN4081 style." Lisa, I never realised that, as I've never really got into KR808D-1 (Sarky the KR808D-1 is another 2 piece e-cig). I did a lot of googling earlier on & I now remember coming across VIP e-cigarettes before. The info on them was one of the many things we had to delete from our e-cig eBay group. But from memory I'm fairly certain they where a vendor I contacted for more info & they just didn't bother replying. And yes, that is so wrong that they are still coming out with stupid things like each cartomiser is the equivalent of 40 cigarettes !

First of all, I would like to say hello to all and address a few issues. sarkycow73 - The VIP battery is based on the RN4081 battery. Sorry to hear about the speed of delivery. Contact Customer Services and say you have spoken to Dave Ryder for 10% off your next order. As for better deals, VIP products are of the highest quality and our prices are very competitive. We suggest using our cartomizers and do not recommend refilling them due to health reasons and risk of leakage. Chrissie : "The info on them was one of the many things we had to delete from our e-cig eBay group. But from memory I'm fairly certain they where a vendor I contacted for more info & they just didn't bother replying." We would be very interested to know which info you refer to? We have not received a request for any information. You are free to contact us on our phone number, or message me with a contact number for yourself and I would be glad to address any concerns. "stupid things like each cartomiser is the equivalent of 40 cigarettes !" Chrissie : They are comparable figures. There are three ex-smokers in this office who have trialed VIP cartomizers and found the cigarette equivalent to be accurate in addition to factory tests. A cigarette comparison is a good indication of how long a cartomizer will last and how many are needed. Without this, customers would have no idea of what they are buying. Here is a little bit about our history. VIP is owned by Musthave Ltd, www.musthaveit.com which is large indepedent retailer and a Dyson, Kenwoord and Karcher authorized supplier, trading online since 2004. Musthave was the original Njoy supplier in the UK. However, in late 2008 Musthave funded research for a new brand of electronic cigarette, forming VIP Electronic Cigarette in 2009. We have many existing ecig users who switched to VIP from other well known brands.

Hello & welcome VIPcig.
It was due to an ebay ruling that I had to remove all links & mention of e-cig vendors from the e-bay community group that I set up in October 2008. Hence why I moved to this Proboard forum in October 2009. between that time either myself, or one of the mods of the old group contacted several new vendors for further info on there products & the majority didn't bother replying. VIPcigs did ring a bell as to being one we contacted & not getting a reply from, however I apologise if my memory is serving me incorrectly. Thank you though for letting us know now that "he VIP battery is based on the RN4081 battery"
Sorry but I still doubt very much that you would get the equivalent of 40 real cigs from any cartomiser.

Sarky, Sorry I missed your post #21. Glad the battery arrived & it's spot on VIP, yes it could have been an authorised reseller we contacted. Just clicked on one of those links & it looks like they are connected with the dreaded over priced "Smoking Everywhere", mainly well known to our friends across the pond. So no wonder you don't like them having a similar name.

Sarky, don't worry, you haven't started anything I'm guessing that VIP has some sort of web tracking (as do many sites) & followed me back here after | visited their site

Chrissie :"I'm guessing that VIP has some sort of web tracking (as do many sites) & followed me back here after | visited their site " Spot on If there was no link to VIP, we would have been none the wiser to this situation. sarkycow73 :The phones never stop ringing to the point they give me a headache... namely because the staff deal with both VIP and Musthave enquiries. E-mailing is logged and is responded to far quicker, even more so with Matt looking after that area. Take care, and thanks for choosing VIP.
