The ribbon is in the middle of that hotglue They have a black wire on the top plate, but I dont trust it. The black wire does have a circuit through to the 510 ground so the label may be right. Thanks for that info/pic reg the board robby If its connected to the 510 it probably is the negative then as thats how Id wire it up.

As it is, if right, it`s not going to have a very secure negative, the dimple on the copper plate is barely 1mm and the battery wrap may defeat it :/ , and that spring at the other end could possibly short out the positive with the side of the battery.

Ahh must admit I assumed a zif board connection That said it might well be easy enough to line it up with a decent magnifier which I dont have. First 1 I tried to do I left it powered up, when the screen came on I hit it with the solder iron. When I dragged it across the stripes 1 of the caps on the back of the board exploded. You live and learn lol.

Ref the mod, if it turns out that the battery direction is as indicated by the label it should be an easy enough job to swap the copper plates round although you would need to glue the top plate in. I have tried both ways and mine wont fire at all. The first way I tried was as indicated, but who is to know what fecked it, or was it just a faulty mod? I have a support ticket in. I`ll let you know.
