kreed, I just wanted to say that your recipe and the many positive responses have given me the final push I needed to try DIY mixing. I've just ordered £50 of kit & flavours :-) I couldn't find the Capella Ethyl Maltol on the three popular DIY sites I tried, so I ordered Capella Super Sweet Concentrate instead in the end, plus a brown sugar flavour. I realise now that this was probably a mistake or do you think one of them might work out ok? If not I'll try again tomorrow to source the Capella Ethyl Maltol somewhere. Also, as well as making your stock recipe, if I wanted to try some cheeky 10ml test bottles to add a twist on top like nut, irish cream or oat biscuit etc, can I just add the extra flavour on top @ 3-4%? I'm really looking forward to trying this - thanks so much for sharing the recipe!

Firstly, welcome to the world of diy mixing @hondo ........maddening, frustrating.....but rewarding as hell when you get your first vapable mix under your belt Ok......Capella Super Sweet. Not something I personally would use as it's sucralose.....and I won't vape that.......personal choice. It's also very strong sucralose (20% strength), so if you do decide to use it......use half a % only. I prefer EM as it has more of a natural sweet taste.....not artificial.....and adds a bit of body and richness. vapable.com/product/ethyl-maltol-flavour-concentrate/Vapable have it in stock. You can use the discount code DIY5 on there for a bit off concentrates etc......and delivery is free if you spend over a tenner Shout if you have any more questions....or need advice with mixing. There are lots of very experienced mixers on here............and no question will be seen as silly

Thanks for taking the time to reply kreed . Would you believe I actually made the big order with Vapable yesterday but I think I was fixed on the Capella section and totally missed the Vapable EM. I've just ordered it with them now, along with a few more flavours to try - haha, this is worse than shinyitus already ;-) Could I ask again about adding a twist on top of your recipe. Is it just a simple case of adding 3% to 4% of my twist flavour (say nut or cookie) on top to see what results or would this likely ruin it? I appreciate that this may seem disrespectful considering I haven't even mixed my first juice yet, but here's my thinking. If I will need to wait 6-8 weeks to try your recipe, I will make up your stock recipe and also 3 additional 10ml test "twist" batches just to see how they all come out at the end. I hope that makes sense. I can't wait to get stuck in and try this Edited to add: Ps. I hear you re Sucralose. Now that I have EM on the way, I'll push it to the back of the cupboard when it arrives, thanks again.

While having a decent flavour - it isnt particularly 'heavy' or high in concentrates. Adding 6-7% for a fruit or 4-5% for a caramel/nut/peanut butter will be absolutely fine

There are a lot of guys on a FB group I belong to that are also using it as a base to add flavours to.
It depends on the brand you're adding.
Inawera will probably be at 2% - 3%
Capella and TPA you can probably add at 5% - 7%

Tom and kreed Thank you both so very much. I have recently become addicted to custards, in particular "Son of a Biscuit Eater" which has a buttery biscuity twist on custard (I have literally ordered 300ml of it in the last week, I just can't put it down) and if I could get anywhere near to that taste or enjoyment with DIY I would be a very happy chappy. I have very high hopes for your recipe Kreed :-) I've really taken to RBA's, and tinkering with coiling and wicking, so DIY juice will be a great addition. Once again cheers guys!
