Does anyone have any of this mixed up that they would be willing to share ? I tried a custard 5 or so weeks ago was from chefs. And it was amazing. Exactly like custard that you made up and ate as a kid (birds custard powder, when mixed with a little milk to make the concentrate before adding to boiling pan of milk) eggy and sugary. Since then nothing has been close or even similar. I have tried I would say 15 different custards since then and none are even close. I don't do diy but for the right flavour I may start. I love dessert flavours so much

Thanks tcg69I've made and given away so much of the stuff recently.........I have none left at all.....not even for me!!! And the worse news is........ I'm out of French Vanilla.....so can't even whip some up until I make another concentrate order. Luckily, I have a 30ml bottle of lairey Sweet Vanilla Scream to keep me going.......damned yummy it is too........like a creamy rice pudding

This was probably a bad thread to find when: a) I have recently described myself as a 'custard fiend' b) I am just awaiting delivery of my mixing start-up equipment, and c) I am fooling myself that I can just use pre-blended concentrates and don't have to get into 'proper' mixing...

You can to begin with, if that helps build confidence levels TallPaul70 . . .. it doesn't all have to be done immediately. Get a few basic mixes under your belt, just get to grips with the process. Then you'll be away.
