I don't know with that mod decoy it doesn't appeal to me, on a tight budget and have to make every penny count.

thats what im on about
i use tc on drippers only so want it to stop dry hits and have it set between 350 and 420 deg on about 20 watts and as far as i can tell the smok wont do this or am i barking up wrong tree

Q can you manually set tc and watts or does it automatically do watts when tc is set?

You can mess up your coil and wicking but if it is generally okay (no loose wick or shorted wraps) it will work fine but at lower watts. On this particular mod you cant get only 10 watts with a good setup, unless you reduce the temp to taste. That`s what I have been doing and it works great

decoy, I`m currently using a subtank with a 0.2ohm nickel coil which if left to it`s own devices is probably giving me 40 watts plus at 420F. To get it near to what I want I turn the temp down to about 370F which still gives me a good vape but at a level that I like (about 20 watts) Either way, it wont burn your wicks on a tank or a dripper.

It`s not ideal Q but that upgrade may sort out your problem with TC. It should give you the opportunity to add a few milliohms to the set resistance of the coil which can make a dramatic difference to the output of the mod. Only announced a few days ago, but should be out soon.

I find that some nickel coils work better than others, so what I do if I have one that seems under powered is put it on the device at room temp. and fire it for a second or two to warm the coil slightly. I then unscrew atty, fire device to zero ohm reading, screw down atty and set as new atty.

Because the coil is a little warmer than room temp. it reads slightly higher ohms and this is enough to give me that extra bit of power I need.

Strange, mine is 00500, have you got bluetooth control? Might be worth putting it to the same as mine

I wonder if they'd release a pc app for bluetooth too so you can just get one of those cheap usb dongles for bluetooth 4.1 and can use without a phone too. So far seems to be much better than the m80 from the reviews around of it, its good they got the temp control working too so any issues now can be fixed with the firmware upgrade and not needing a new chip most likely.

Done that robby it still hits the temp limit at 600F with barely a whisper of vape, do you think I might have a duff one isabel22 or do you have any suggestions
