I liked the way that they got in there that by stopping adults smoking outside, children would not see smoking as "normal". Yet again another thing that a parent doesn't have to do! "Can i smoke mum?" Sorry have to disagree with above, awnser is (screamed out so everyone hears) CHARDONAY no you cannot, now finish your cider (looking to others), they think this child benefit makes us rich (looking back) CHARDONAY NO, NO thats not your dad. Well I do go to weatherspoons occasionaly lol MP PS I'll start a new thread, bad humour, carry on films, monty python, harry enfield, fastshow, will stop me interupting serious threads and will suit me sir

Simon Clark but then it's the daily fail (rational needed - might not be a true quote) Nicotine sticks? No...... Vapourisers - yes!!! Remember the thingy (pardon my lack of grammatical knowledge) Peronal Electronic Nicotine Inhalation System Cos I'm nice! I think the public would be up in arms if we started taking that out in public.

Shutting down all pubs/bars . . . . I'm surprised that's not been considered an option. Do these decision making eejits, really believe that by banning smoking outside of such establishments it will encourage more smokers to quit! What utter codswallop, it will drive even more smokers who enjoy a drink with their ciggy's to do so at home - it's already happened to an extent since the smoking ban. And what about the premises that have invested in providing outside Smoking Shelters in an attempt to keep their customers. I don't even think it's about getting people to quit, i don't think they have any real desire to do anything constructive or practical to tackle smoking i think they're just puritans on a campaign like i said before. It's an ideology not an actual social health concern. To me it's kind of like some religiously motivated anti abortion protestors, they claim to want to save lives yet are also at the same time opposed to measures proven to reduce demand for abortions such as free and accessible contraception or sex education in schools and simultaneously forgetting that the entire reason it was legalised to begin with was to save lives, to prevent women dying performing home abortions and to prevent infanticide of unwanted babies. One has to wonder if in either case they're really interested in peoples health or are they more interested in wagging their fingers at people engaging in behaviors they personally disapprove of for ideological reasons.

It's the Bright Ideas Department at work isn't it . . . . which uses ' the health of the nation ' as an excuse to justify their existence. They can dress it up any way they like Get Off My Cloud, but I doubt very much that they actually give a tinkers about the health of you, I or anyone else. If ' they ' did then the alternative we know that works would have been embraced, promoted and shouted from the roof tops a long time ago. These people appear to live their lives in a cosy bubble, untroubled by the addictions or issues many ordinary folk have in their lives.

It's about choice - pure and simple. A choice between inhaling the noxcious fumes from a burned leaf - or some vaporised glycol.
Give any person the choice between smoke and vapour and they'll choose the vapour.
But we have to give that choice in the first place.
No choice? They'll smoke.
What would you be doing if it wasn't for e-cigs?
- a comment from one happy to vape alongside the smokers.

How badly hit will landlords be if punters cant smoke or vape, even outside the pub? Ghost pubs arising all over the land.
As Denis Leary once said ...
What's the law now? You can only smoke in your apartment Under a blanket, with all the lights out? Is that the rule now, huh?
The cops are outside, "We know you have the cigarettes Come out of the house with the cigarettes above your head"
Big brother, little sister, Auntie Gertrude and third cousin BarneyBooBoo are watching!!
