and if I choose to vape nicotine or not - that's my choice in my time (if I choose to come off nicotine) - just like my caffeine addiction

Don't vape in places you can't smoke - simples - has been the mantra of the girl who told me about aaec 4.5 years ago

Whether I am a "smoker" on my medical records or not doesn't bother me.
What annoys me is that the NHS first of all put on my records that as a Vaper, I was a Non Smoker and now some bored pen pusher with no knowledge of vaping has decided that because I am a vaper, then I am now a smoker again.

This pigeon holing of vapers by the NHS, will affect many other decisions taken by none medical businesses as to the way they will deal with us in the future and has much wider implications than just those controlled by the NHS.

I work in a hospital and yes vaping is banned but I could not give a figs arse. I vape at my desk all the time and nobody gives a shit. The smokers go outside but I stay inside. I was even able to vape while as a patient recently, although they probably would have said I couldn't if they had noticed. That's the good thing with vaping. It doesn't smell like smoking.

I recently had to answer the usual questions from a physiotherapist in hospital, including if I smoke, I explained I was a smoker have now given up and only vape e-cigarettes. She instantly replied that 'all smoking harms health'.

I asked if she could give me any actual evidence that e-cigs were as harmful as smoking, she quickly moved on to other topics....!

I'm with letsavit on this one. Too much experience of idiots to bother trying to change minds. I'm a non smoker, end of description.
If anyone - politely - comments when I vape in public, that's different. To the curious glances of passers by, I was sat on a stool, in my whistle and flute, on a building site in Manchester chatting to the brickies. Two of them had a go, one coughed his lungs up unfortunately.
A bunch of working lads had open minds. The gurus of the NHS not. What a mess we've allowed this country to get into.
