Latest TC idea - IJOY Asolo 200W TC Mod

I dont know if it's just me but this "simplified" temperature control looks far more complicated than the current plethora of mods, or to quote someone else "Perhaps I'm talking bo**ox"

How to Use
Choose a good wattage for the tank and try several puffs.
When you find your favorite flavor, you can press the bottom to tell the device you love this taste, and the device will keep it in its memory.
Enter the temperature control mode by pressing the bottom of the big "T". Operate the temperature control easily by choosing the %'F from 80 -110 percent. It is most like the YIHI SX mini temperature control box mod and has a Soft - Standard - Power - Power plus. The IJOY Asolo 200W Box Mod has 80- 81 - 82 ……109 - 110 percent. After choosing a temperature control mode, if you would like to lock the mode, simply press both sides of the big "T" and it will lock that mode.
If you want to get out of the temperature control mode, simply press the bottom of the big "T".

An interesting mod, still a bit of a "work in progress". I`ve seen various prices for this between $200 and $300. I got an email from the makers Ijoy that it was on "release" yesterday. Time will tell whether it can live up to it`s claims with TC on kanthal.



They claim to use frequency control instead of voltage control in TC mode. Doesn`t make a lot of sense to me, maybe reading the inductance of the coil as the wick dries? Just thinking out loud and probably living up to my sig pic below

They also claim this is an American chipset.

It does look like it will live up to it's promises, but only time will tell. I've been hunting around on this one for a while now, but it seems IJoy are only now getting ready to release it. The reviews are a bit thin on the ground, but what I've seen it looks like it does the job. The difference with this one as opposed to normal temp control is that it doesn't try to set a specific temperature. You set it to the taste you want then flip to temp control and it keeps that setting. If the tank goes dry it stops. So if someone tries to do a dry cotton test it will probably burn the cotton. While this test may be a simple way to see if the temp control works by setting it below the burn temp of dry cotton, it has no real value, as who vapes with dry cotton in the real world? Stopping it burning with low juice is the real test in my view.

That is the question as they say.    Apart from very scant information, I'm not sure anybody knows.    I'm not even convinced that IJoy know at this point, but as long as it works, that's all that matters.

Just noticed that GearBest have this at basically the same price as Heaven's Gifts, but HG are offering this with a silicone sleeve. Not sure about the colour, turquose, although it will match my Crocs. I'm still waiting on this one to see the reviews as it seems expensive just to have TC on all wires. My guess is if it works it won't be long before others have it too, and the price will drop like a stone.



Just found a good review on this published about a week ago.  A bit mixed, but a good review.

I would not fork out $169 or £110 for it at the moment.

The Chinese will have it cloned soon and the clones will be on offer for $50 pretty soon.

Or I could be talking Bo**ocks!
