Hi everyone, Thanks for letting me join your forum, I'm looking to mix up my own stuff for personal use and I could be doing with any help anyone would like to give it would be much appreciated...

Hello leeholmes and welcome to the forum

Since the thread title is "Chasing Clouds", I would recommend mixing at a high VG ratio
Seriously though, it's pretty straightforward mixing your own once you have the basic stuff ..... Nic base, PG, and Vg and some flavourings, bottles and a couple of syringes (or decent scales if you want to mix by weight)
There is a forum mix calculator if you click the appropriate tab at the top of the page and lots of good advice in the mixing section.
Good luck and go for it, nothing better than vaping something you mix yourself.

Hi everyone and thanks for the advise on starting up, I've ordered 72mg of Nic VG, 1000ml of each PG & VG and some flavours from TFA ? Everyone seems to use a lot of different flavour suppliers so I'm sure I'll get into that and hopefully enjoy what I make myself... The mixology section on this Forum is just outstanding, Seeing it worked out like that is a big bonus for people like myself, I'm looking to only mix up 1 caramel flavour to start off with a 30 mix - 70VG 30PG - 18mg nic, Do you think that would be ok for someone like myself only starting ?

A single concentrate mix will be the easiest ti start with.

I would start with a few 5mil mixes rather than a 30 mil mix. That is a lot to make a mistake on!

Don't be disappointed if the first few aren't quite right, keep practicing!

leeholmes the only tricky part about mixing is the flavours, not only are they inconsistent in strength from one manufacturer to another they're also inconsistent in strength from flavour to flavour even from the same manufacturer so it takes some experimenting to get the flavours how you like them.

Are you new to vaping or just new to mixing juices?
I ask because if you're cloud chasing 18mg nic seems mighty strong, i was good with 18mg nic when i was mouth to lung vaping but once i started using a cloud chasing kind of setup i dropped straight down to 6mg.
The throat hit with 18mg on that kind of setup was super harsh not to mention the headspinning from nicotine OD.

18mg in a tank maybe but not for chasing clouds, I use 24mg in a tank but only 3mg in the drippers for cloud chasing. I can tell you for free that to much nic is not nice, only over done it once but it was pretty crap lol.

Also the nic can make the vape harsh.

What sort of amount did you/do you smoke? I was on 50 a day plus so needed a good dose to compensate. I vape my tank like I smoked, into the mouth then into the lungs but straight into the lungs with the drippers.

I'd start with 18mg in a tank though for say a 20 a day smoker.
