Hello & welcome to the forum Eddy . . . I wish I'd bought more than 1 Iatty ( sold a few months ago ) . . . why is there all this sudden interest in obtaining one, if you don't mind me asking?


The Odysseus is so much easier to set up, for me it is anyway.

Hmmmm . . . well it is a very nice rebuildable Eddy, but being out of production now, you'll have a quest to get one.

Is it a rebuildable that you're specifically after as there are other options that may be easier to come by.

An Odysseus, out of the same GG stable may be a little easier to source second hand tbh, although still not easy and likely to be at a price.

What are you currently using then Eddy?

he is sooo nice Perpy, what with his deep n rich comments, his likeable nature and thoughtful answers. I got the feeling that what he was trying to say was;

(paraphrasing here) can you sell me an iatty ? no, well sod off then.......(lol)

gotta ask, whats a complete newbie wanting with an Iatty ? Who the hell told him that he needs one.......oh no, I just realised, like you stated (politely) earlier, they are rarer than hen's teeth and the price is going up & up, do you think that he was just after making a quick buck outta one of our fellow members by reselling it for a higher price elsewhere ? Gosh, I hope not. Seems to be a lot of that going around at the moment, people helping out a newbie is one thing, getting fleeced is another different kettle of fish.

Perps, how do you keep your kool with all us idiots (& yes, I did include myself in that statement, I have made a few brainless statements before on AAE-C, lol), I suppose alcohol helps, lol.

Seriously, you don't need to close this thread Eddy, personally I don't feel you've been especially well advised in looking for an Iatty . . . firstly, they're rarer than a rare thing to come by and secondly they're not the easiest rebuildable in the world to set up . . . you might find it easy if you're of a technical persuasion though.

Again, only my personal thoughts, you'd stand more chance of finding an Odysseus. . . have you seen this video tutorial from Scott?

a mate in work told me to try and get one but he said it will be hard to get one and told me to post to see what happens he is the one who gave me the arry to get me started did not think I would get so much hassel by making my first post on here
