Ive only had it for a few months and its just stopped working. The light just come on every now and again, it is completely dead. The charger died, i bought a new one, ive even ordered new batteries still waiting for these but my old batteries have charged but still no luck. Ive cleaned it and cannot think of what else to do Id really appreciate if anybody has any advice. I cant afford to buy another for it to only work a few months.

Did your hot spring collapse due to a short? (Do they have springs?)

they have springs in the bit you screw on, just stretched it a bit and tried without the tin foil, its still working. I think the old charger was also at fault!

Glad to hear you have got it working again Josie I don't own an LT so not going to be able to help you find a reason as to why your spring collapsed.

You may have screwed something on to it that caused a short Josie, that would also be my best guess as to why the spring collapsed, as Dom said. Glad it's working ok now for you though.

Thats quite strange for the spring to fail to make contact? Unless you have used a longer battery for a while and the problem exists only when using the shorter, unprotected 18650? I recently bought batteries which were advertised as 65mm long which actually turned out to be 68mm and the battery cover spring was under serious compression when attempting to screw the cover back on. (In the end the battery was just too long so I had to revert back to the shorter (unprotected) ones) Incidentally - I am currently experiencing a tempremental 'fire' button. I can be vaping quite happily for ages, when all of a sudden I'll get a cold, non-existent vape. The same pressure would have been applied to the button. With the next press a firm one, all will be well again. I don't know if this is a frequent experience for others or whether I should be concerned if its a sign of things to come, but after only a few weeks use I can't help but think it shouldn't be happening? If it gets worse I'll worry, until then it doesn't interfere too much with my vaping.

Giz I think you only get a 10 second power burst before it auto cuts out , both mine do the same after a good old multi tug when trying to get a big hit , I have linked to torchy boy on another thread for decent low priced panasonic batteries , he even sent me a cpl of spare cases when I asked if I could buy an extra one

Spot on Giz.. 18650 protected batteries are actually 19670's... Do you mean 1 8670's? If so then I haven't seen them advertised as that, although I have read that the popular opinion is to change the advertising of these protected bats....quite rightly so too! (Some vendors do mention the dimensions if they're the longer ones) Giz I think you only get a 10 second power burst before it auto cuts out , both mine do the same after a good old multi tug when trying to get a big hit , I have linked to torchy boy on another thread for decent low priced panasonic batteries , he even sent me a cpl of spare cases when I asked if I could buy an extra one No it's not that. Generally if I do some 'power vaping' and take several tugs consecutively I always take my thumb off the button in between them. Unless it cuts out when you total 10 seconds or more over a period of 'x' seconds? (where 'x' > 10 seconds)

Ah haaa. I would put myself in the 'confused customer' bracket, or at least I did when I ordered protected 18650's advertised as 65mm in length, only to find them 68mm long. The diameter appears (unmeasured) the same as the unprotected ones I have? You live and learn. And thanks for the link - some good info on there!
