This is where the spreadsheet hubby suggested I keep comes in handy, if I even suspect he's about to say something I open up the spreadsheet and show him just how much less I am spending even with all the padded brown envelopes arriving most days

I don't have the "stop buying vapegear" problem with my better half, she encourages me to buy more so she can nab it.....then have me coil and wick it for her. If anything, I'm the one saying no more (mainly to concentrates as she has at least 100 bottles she wont use lying in the kitchen and at least as many bottle of e liquid.

Solution...all future orders delivered to my work...then at least I'll get to try out new tanks mods and drippers before they fall into the black hole that is the handbag of doom!

I was in the shop where I always used to buy my ciggies today and just happened to look at the price of a carton of Lambert & Butler seeing as I didn't know the cost these days. Anyway the price was 24.95 euros (carton of 200 ciggies). They'd increased by about 4 euros during the time I've been vaping.

Whenever my 'ol man even hints on my vape spending I just turn around and tell him I spend nowhere near as much as I did when I smoked - that normally shuts him right up. Now I can even tell him how much they are these days, which will help even more when I buy more vape gear

Soooo, if I'm saving money and ciggies over here work out at approx £2 per pack of 20 then you surely have a much stronger argument than I do

We brought some fags back for one of my wife's cousins - 42 Euros for 200 B and H. It was only when the OH checked online to see how much they were here that we realised that the same cigs bought in the UK would have cost £92!! It made us both even more pleased that we had given up

Wow, and that's almost double what they cost over here in Tenerife, but still cheaper than in the UK

I started my spreadsheet when I made my first vape purchase, and have logged EVERY purchase & amount, along with a bit of maths to sort out how much I would have spent on baccy, papers, filters ( only smoked roll-ups)....

I've saved just over £2k (would've spent over £3k on baccy) and even got 2.75litres of nic base in the freezer included in the vape spend

show her the figures, they don't lie*


*unless you go overboard on kit & expensive juice

And that was in the airport, toots, we couldn't find B & H in the local supermarket; all they sold were local brands and loads of Marlboro variants! I'm sure these would have been cheaper still, but didn't really look at the prices.

They don't sell them in our local supermarkets either, you probably would have found them in the little shops run by Indians or Pakistanis (if there were any), we have loads of Indian run shops which sell all types of cigarette brands over here along with items such as cameras, mobile phones etc etc etc all on the cheap (but not so cheap these days lol).

Our local supermarkets have only ever sold the local brands along with Marlboro etc, well at least since I've been here anyway.

What you have to do is tell white lies to them.
I spend vast amounts of money on vaping gear. It's an obsession and I need to see a shrink about it. My latest buy was an El Diablo Incubus box mod. £160. Told the wife it cost £30. If she ever sussed me out, she would kick my head in.
I don't even know why I have to do this!!!! But I do. I was a heavy smoker before I got into vaping. 2 years vaping now, and loving it. The money I have saved by not smoking stinkies, totally makes up for my mad spending sprees. But my wife is still a smoker and doesn't understand. I have tried to get her into vaping, but she won't do it. So stuff it. More white lies coming up.
