tried some 0.45 wire of one of the lads at work and it still glows red hot at 20 watts 260 f
eather the mod is faulty or im a nob

ok i just ran 2 tests
kayfun base with what the sig says is a .14 coil and the mini says is a .18 so a .04 diff
mini put a slight tinge on the cotton at 20 watts 350f the sig burnt throw the cotton
im deff steting the coil on the sig or i would not get a reading of the coil its not doing any cutting off power the coil will glow as long as i hold the power

The problem is the mini intuder do work but I couldn't get on with the 0.1 min res
When I got the sig I thought I would get on better with the lower min res but it seems to of bit me in the ass

last test done before bed
built .24 ohms with .2 wire thinking higher starting res should help the diff in reading maybe and the mini at the same settings did the same as before
as did the sig but with a ohms reading of .23
gotta admit in getting ruddy good as spaced coils and would recommend the soft stuffs for bigger wire and hard for anything below .25
i havent been able to do much with it as i work 12 hour night shifts and tonight is my last one tg
but i am getting to the point of turning up on kingz of vapor,s door and getting them to show me what im doing wrong

I haven't done the dry cotton burn test on mine but in use its not missed a beat. I'm wondering if you've got a faulty mod

IMO it's is a faulty mod, it maybe reading the base/cold res too high, but with all you have tried that ain't likely.

.04 ohms is very little in resistance but a big difference for TC mods and would certainly cause it to burn hotter if the circuitry in both mods is designed correctly. I wish I had one to test it out resistance wise. I am assuming that if you press the fire button for a few seconds (when it hasn`t been used for 5 minutes) and then press again after a second or two, the mod is showing the same resistance both times at the time of firing?
