A friend asked me to help him sort out kit to see if vaping would work for him..
I had a brand new, in box and unopened vapor Earl 20 watt Ileaf clone and a couple of i Clear clearos that I gave him, along with a couple of bottles of Onepoundeliquid juices, tobacco flavoured.
He took to it like a duck to water, said instantly that he knew it was going to work for him..... He had no roll-ups for the rest of the day, had one the next morning out of habit and vaped happily for the rest f the day, preferring it to smoking!
Disaster hit that evening when the fake iStick died. No light, no power, nada. He was forced to smoke the next day.
I've sorted him out with an Ego 2000 mah battery for now and he purchased a Vamo style kit from the local vape shop (£30 for the mod, charger and a couple of batteries) and he is happily up and running again.
I can't send the iStick back because I can't remember where I got it from and it must have been purchased over 3 months ago.
Just wondered if anyone would like to play with it ?
It's of no use to either of us......

Have you checked the 5 clicks on and off? It may be obvious but i'll ask just in case. ..

Good news . . . . bad news then lynwlt, just a thought - your friend couldn't have turned off the Earl in error could he? I've known someone else do similar on the forum, then think it was borked. Which it may still very well be, clutching at straws really before you abandon all hope for the device.

Isn't it strange, how some people know from their very first toke that the concept is going to work for them?
That's how it was for me, and it's gratifying to introduce someone to it that feels the same.
My friend said he was gutted to have to smoke yesterday..

That was meeee lol lynwlt have a try of pressing both arrow buttons at the same time its a "safety" feature which locks the device and can only be released by pressing both arrows I had the same panic when I did it to my Earl, alternatively try only 3 clicks on the square power button some of the clones have a 3 click "lock".

naDiel, Well, that's a possibility but it would be silly of me to take the thing apart to have a look, especially since I have lost my blue screwdriver...

Perhaps we should start a Crowdfunder for lynwlt, to fund enough screwdrivers to keep her going for life!!

gill2009I knew you would understand... I've done everything suggested, apart from taking it to bits. I have cajoled and threatened and bribed, plugged it in and turned it off... Could be a metaphor for life. I can't even turn on a clone..
