Thanks for your input everyone, It seems Ultrasonic isn't the way to go and leaving in a dark place for weeks is, Can I just ask as I'm new to DIY does that mean if I make a 10ml bottle of say Strawberry Shortcake do I need to wait for 2 - 3 weeks just to see if I've got the percentage of the flavours rite and if not I need to add more flavour or make more up and leave for another 2 - 3 weeks till I get the required amount I like... Yes is the short answer leeholmes . . . . some patience is required if you want to achieve successful results in your DIY mixes. Whose brand of flavouring is it, we might be able to give you some advice on suggested ratios to mix at.

Hi perpetua thanks for the Welcome, The type of Liquids I've bought are TFA and I'm just looking to mix Single & Double flavours as it's only for personal use for myself and my better half... We like fruity & sweet flavours...

Single Fruit flavours won't take nearly as long to steep as your Dessert/Sweet will Lee - 5-7 days should be long enough for you to judge if you've got the flavour ratio right for your tastes. ETA: I've merged your other thread into this one leeholmes as it was getting confusing ( for me! ) going between the two. Hope you don't mind.

Thanks very much perpetua that makes it a lot easier, I'll be fine once I get the hang of it, it's just hard trying to work out what to do when so many people are telling you so many different things and ways to do it... I was getting confused.com ????...

You'll get there leeholmes on both counts . . . . it all takes a bit of time to get to grips with DIY and the workings of a forum! Keep your mixing simple to begin with whilst you're getting a feel for the process and your flavours, if you need any help then just shout - like someone to check your calculations perhaps. Lots of knowledgeable, helpful people on here who will be only too willing to help you, we all had to start from the beginning ourselves.

Thanks for the kind words it means a lot... Could I just ask 1 more thing before I get my beauty sleep and The Lord himself knows I need that, There is no need for the shaking and the breathing every other day Just make it up put it away and test it out after a week or so....

That's about the sum total of what I do Lee, I might if I think of it give the bottle a shake every day for a couple of days - most times I don't remember though. Mix and forget works for me.
