When I started with a switch, I thought I would hate it, but I wanted a bigger battery. I got used to it in no time at all. Honestly, I thought I couldn't vape anything bigger than a real cig and nothing with a switch.... I couldn't understand how anyone could use a switch, let alone these huge mods everyone seemed to have. But it works and it works well.
After a while you won't even notice.

Yeah I thought that Shazza I didn't really want my e-cigsto look like a ciggie but I also couln't be bothered filling and pressing buttons etc but after a couple of months banging my head off the wall with the ciggie alikes I progressed to the Riva you won't regret it!! Jason also sells an SDK which is auto and comes with pre-filled carto's if you want. I haven't tried them but others on here also rate them very highly on here ( sorry can't link as on my phone but if you fancy this sure someone will provide you with link if they haven't already beaten me to it)
oh should add hello and welcome

Hi Shazza
I started, ooh 10 or 11 weeks back with a Riva 1100 from Jason at Vape Escape and haven;t looked back, There are 4 of us at work now, whiffling away.....
I think they are more streamlined and smaller than I thought they would be, IRL. I have stainless Steel and it looks elegant to me with a Stainless cartomiser and silver drip tip.
You soon get used to the whiffling technique, in my experience within minutes really. (whiffling is my term - I believe vaping is the norm!).
I ,too, have not had a ciggie since I started with the Riva, but I will be honest - I thought about them for the first 4 - 5 days or so, like wondering where they were, where the ashtray and lighter were etc but did NOT want one. I kept to my smoking routines too for the first 2 - 3 weeks, like going outside, having certain drags at certain times.
So, there you go, my endorsement!
Ali x

hi, i'm new here too. and started out on the e-lites, which i thought were really expensive and not very tasty. only since moving onto other devices can i truly say i have not craved a cigarette at all... you'll find the help on here invaluable, whatever you want to get, and i'll second ( or third....ad nauseum ) the riva1100.... you'll be hooked ( probably a bad term to use for an ex smoker )
I garuntee you'll be boring friends and family silly with talking about vamping in no time at all, and first time you whip out your lava tube that'll raise an eyebrow or two for sure!!
welcome

Again, thanks everyone! I will go for the Riva kit, now about the order which I'll do tomorrow. I get the kit and ask Jason (in the order form?) to switch to cartos, yes? I'll be skipping "flavoured" juices for now..... Any recs on what juice to try? I didn't see sample sizes for anything but the flavoured ones. Just looking for plain ol' ciggie for the time being Anything else needed, like for filling etc... that will make the experience as simple as possible? Can't be having more faffing about than is absolutely necessary, lol! Will check back in the AM before ordering.

Hi, welcome! I'm new here too and I've just ordered the riva kit from vape escape today. If you put in the comments box about the cartomisers, Jason knows exactly what you mean (and I'm sure I didn't make much sense with what I put lol) as far as flavours, I went for golden burginia as that one sounded like a 'regular' tobacco flavour but don't quote me on that someone might have a better suggestion for you I have no clue about filling etc so I will let someone who knows what they're talking about answer that one!

If you try the pick and mix there are a cpl of flaves that are tobacco ish i.e. 666 ( a twist on the old 555 ) golden burginia , apple tabac ( very nice ) and also menthol tabac ( refreshing with a hint of tobacco ) better to try small quantities first
