I've been chucking a good fat lump of cotton in my drippers for a while just stood to reason to me the more cotton the more juice it holds, hadn't been doing this rolling malarky though. Tried it out today doesn't seem to make much difference to me, maybe the rolling helps tanks wick faster i'll try that out.

I've always had as much cotton in the coil as poss.
Keeping it really tight stops all the snap, crackle and popping.
Just the tails in the well though.

Works well enough in my Subtank RBAs, I've loaded them up with fairly thick twisted coils and so far the wick is keeping up with the coil or is it the other way around?

I even took my dripper into work today and yup thick cotton wicks work well , very well . I reckon 10 deep long inhales on a dual coil 0.4omh build no dry hits .
Not sure it work in a tank hmmm..
But be warned , changing out such thick cotton can result in seriously mangled coils.

It comes out easier if it is wet.
A few drops of water on the cotton helps it move.

The wire twists I'm using in the subtank rbas have a combined diameter of 0.9mm and with a couple more turns wouldn't be amiss in a dripper. I don't think they will move as I had to take them out to bend the legs in order to get the coil closer to the deck. If you are wondering I figured vaping off the slower ramp up of the thick wire would be better than the fast ramp of a thinner one.

As the wick half way down the tank when juice gets below it it has a tendency to run dry, but the roll method worked a treat at keeping it moist.
