I'm sure this must have been asked before but I can't find the answer.
I'm using a Subtank Plus with a 0.5 ohm coil with DWF juice. I'm finding the wicking really poor. The first drag is fine, but then I've to wait anything up to a minute before I can take another one without it tasting burnt. I've lowered the power to 20 watts but it's not much better. My first thought was that the juice is too thick but according to DWF's website their liquid is 60pg.
surely this shouldn't be happening. This tank is designed for high VG and the coil is rated up to 30watts.
has anyone got any ideas?

I take it you saturated the wick before vaping? Otherwise it sounds like a duff coil.

I assume that it's a stock coil and not a rebuilt one? If so, could be a duff coil, you can try taking the coil out and teasing the cotton through the side holes with a pin, just put the pin in and give it a gentle wiggle.

If its a ready made coil it is recommended that you get a pin and very carefully pull fluff away from centre point to help with wicking

It is a stock coil. I assume it's genuine as I got it from a local B & M. I put juice into the juice holes before putting the tank on. It's been in there a couple of days now so I should hope it's fully saturated.
I'll give the pin wiggly, fluffy thing a try

Yes that certainly improved it. Now up to 27 watts and not a single burnt hit

I'm still marvelling at how much difference that little trick makes. I've just fogged up the room* with about 10 clouds in a couple of minutes. Now I need to lie down because my head's swimming.
*Childish but most enjoyable.

There is nothing better than enjoying your own vape, but it's good to know when other folks are enjoying their's, especially after some problem solving information from the good members here. I'm just about to plough through some devilicous custard and the golden child which were kindly sent to me by Romney. Ye cannae beat a good vape and a Kopparberg or two on a Saturday night. BLISS ! ! !
