Cotton Bacon - thoughts wanted.

As above really.

I've used rayon for as long as I can remember. I've never tried muji or any other of the cottons available but have heard loads of people rave about cotton bacon (v2).

So has anyone used it? Is it as good as it claims? Has anyone used both that and rayon?

I get my rayon on eBay. Cost me about £4 for 4 meters. Cotton bacon is £5 for ten pads.

Thoughts? I'd it worth the extra?

this is my go to for most wicking applications. It an be sourced cheaper, but I just add a pack or two when buying wire so I'm not paying extra for p&p or waiting on extra deliveries.

Quite honestly, I'd highly recommend it over silica, and rayon for both wicking speed and flavour.

Thanks have actually just ordered some Japanese cotton to see what it's like. I used to use cotton when I used protanks and found rayon lasted longer but since I switched to sub tanks I've not used anything but Rayon

eBay have 'bacon bits' for £2 so might just grab them to see if it's any better than rayon.

Great for rda's as is just tear and pull through bit fiddly on Rta's as unlike Japanese cotton you can't cut into neat strips.

I use it for my rda's only because I lack patience.

What's the difference between bacon cotton and muji sheets?

i use cotton bacon as it wicks as good as Rayon and doesnt have that initial clinical taste when you are first bedding in the wick

Cotton bacon is like a cotton ball thats been unrolled and teased out so its already loose and fluffy and ready to use.
Muji is a machine produced 'pad', all fibers are in 1 direction and comes with a fused layer on each side.
Ultimately there both just cotton, just depends on how much faffing about you want to do when re wicking.

I don't get any clinical taste with rayon so if it's no better at wicking I may just stick with rayon.

I was just pondering as a lot of juice I buy is 80vg now (used to be 50/50) and it can't hurt to have better wicking. So if it wicks the same as rayon I may as well just stay as I am.

difference in taste you will feel jumping between cotton and rayon ,depends of the taste some people will not feel. This is subjective . For my taste i find Muji to be better than rayon ,again subjective , this is my taste.... But i'm 100% sure rayon offer good flavor and offer best wicking at the moment.

I never biught into the hype of Cotton Bacon, abd find genuine muji fine,

I usually use muji but bought some cotton bacon bits when I put a stealthvape order in. Flavour wise I can't tell much difference but the cotton bacon does seem to wick better

Have ordered some bacon bits. No great loss at £2 of its no better than rayon.
