In theory, fibre like silica, rayon and muji are organised to flow best because the fibres run in the same direction which aids capillary flow, like a paint brush will collect up the paint easily but I haven`t tried anything else so just speculating. I did try the Scottish whatsaname but didn`t really notice any difference myself.

i use cotton bacon as it wicks as good as Rayon and doesnt have that initial clinical taste when you are first bedding in the wick Thanks! I don't get any clinical taste with rayon so if it's no better at wicking I may just stick with rayon.
I was just pondering as a lot of juice I buy is 80vg now (used to be 50/50) and it can't hurt to have better wicking. So if it wicks the same as rayon I may as well just stay as I am. I agree, I've found Rayon to be excellent and lets the juice flavour come through cleanly. Every now and then I will try some Jap cotton but always seem to go back and rewick with Rayon. Never tried the Cotton Bacon though. Terrible name and reminds me of Bacon flavoured E-liquid

Cotton Bacon is far superior to muji IMO.
1) Easier to work with. 2) Holds a lot more juice. 3) The v2 has no funky taste at all.
From my extensive research cotton bacon is the top end cotton whereas Fibre Freaks is the top end synthetic (better than Rayon).

I do like cotton bacon as it wicks a couple percent better than the ko gen doh (like muji) I have...but I do find that I loose some depth to some of my flavours. Not sure if that is the best way to describe it, it is a very clean vape.
I find it best to use with my fruits and use my cotton pads for my creamy type vapes

Ive tried shake n vape as a few people in my local b&m were raving about it. Its very good, wicks well and possibly holds a little more juice. Doesn't really blow the japanese cotton ive been using for a long time far enough out of the water to justify £8 a bag, but the bag will probably last me about a year. I will continue using it but probably wont buy it again or recommend anyone buy it... even though it is slightly better

Why would you wick with bacon? You could try this.

Got the bacon bits yesterday.
Put a new coil in the lemo 2 and filled it with daredevils. Usually if I go about 17 watts it taste a bit burnt, not a dry hit as such just as if the juice was burnt.
I assumed this juice just didn't like to be vaped at high watts.
This hasn't happened with the cotton bacon. Not that I want to turn up the power etc as 16 watts is fine but it's nice to not occasionally get a slight burnt taste of I chain vape.
Obviously that's just a tiny test and will see how it holds up with different juices etc.
But so far so good. That bacon bits packet was £2 and there's enough in there to last a good few months.
