Echomizer consistency

Has anyone noticed or had any issues with the consisnacy of taste from echomizers
I've found using the same juice and filling method one can be truly amazing yet another bloody horrible

What I do notice with juice is what you eat or drink prior to vaping can seriously mess with the taste of many a flavour. I wonder if this is the problem? cos normally once a carto gets tainted then it stays that way and wont change again by re-filling with the same juice from the same bottle ???

I regularly use a single coil and some dual coil echos and I can't say that I have experienced

Have you tried freezing them to clean them and see if that makes any difference?

Hmmm well I have 2 here both basicly brand new a few drags from each , both same juice each taste completely different one being good one plasitcy

Stitch, is there a way to move the echomiser posts on the other thread into this one? It would make sense to have it all together?

Well originally I started off with echomizers and an echo-e kit from Jason and a bloody loved it I was getting around 2 weeks use out of each echomiser ,I really couldn't fault it on taste and vapour ,I'd had better throat hit but I was more than happy with them
Just fill them with a syringe slowly till you get a drop out the bottom and leave them sit as long as you can wait (overnight is good)

But for me the story changed a bit when I got a pack from health cabin on a group buy back in jan , I found those had a slight plastic taste and on inspection I saw the coil and wicks seemed to be pushed to one side , so after trying 3 with all giving a strange taste I put them aside and used ones I had from Jason which when I looked the coil was dead center and that seemed to work fine (bar one which had the same problem)

But the last group buy I braved another pack just to see and out of 2 I've Tryed ones been "nasty"

Hope I didn't loose you there , but I'd love to be corrected or hear anyone else thoughts on these , but I think the problem is the wick and coil not being center on some of them which seems to be burning the inside

Yes, if it dries then it'll burn or if the coils are damaged or very uneven on the wick you'll create a hot spot that will burn the wick

Stitch, how are you getting on with the echomisers? I got a couple and I'm just not sure

Soaked it overnight then blew through but intermittently I was getting a bit juice in my mouth, then if i didn't top it up regularly I was getting a slightly burnt hit?

How do i know if it's a dodgy echomiser or just me? How long are these meant to last? Forgot to say that my beloved Black Cat didn't taste too good after the first fill, a bit like the taste you get with those kanger cartos?

I know I've said this before but I think I should just stick to standard Boges

Ok, when I find a torch, I'll have a look

I was hoping they would work for me as I have a wedding soon and could do with an all day solution, I don't really want to be faffing around filling cartos, not a good look for the mother of the bride

Blakey, i filled it with my 'spikey' thing until a drop came out the bottom, then left it overnight? it seemed to be overfilled tho, cause i kept getting a bit of juice in my mouth. However, if i didn't top up i would get a burned taste.

It was like i couldn't win - wetter than a wet thing = juice in mouth, slightly drier = burned taste

I have noticed that some wicks have a strange funky taste to them, This was covered by a thread about clockworks re-buildabe attie, we concluded that there was maybe a detergent in the wick that was used to clean it when manufactured, we resolved that issue by boiling the wick and dry burning it. Maybe in their haste to make these carto's the chinese are using wick that would not normally use?
I have also noticed that some boge carto's have a similar problem with a few of the batches, I've had a few that have had a funny taste to them just recently? Quality control seems a bit hit and miss in china

Yes blakey, that makes sense. What would you suggest then for an all day outing? Obviously a tank would just be wrong under the circumstances
