I have the original version very well built bit of kit there are a few things that i don't like about the chip though.
Auto shutoff is a pain in the arse, it wouldn't be so bad if it came back on instantly but it goes through all the bootscreen nonsense every time.
No atty lock in TC mode
Auto coil type sensing is iffy, it works fine when switching from Power mode to TC mode but when switching from TC to Power mode it doesn't work properly all the time, needs a manual switching option i think.
I know the newer models have the updated V1.5 chip not sure what exactly is changed though other than it has atty lock in TC mode, maybe someone else can shed light on whether the other issues i pointed out have been addressed.
The other thing is the 200w thing is a gimmick really, above 150w it pulse fires not continuously fires due to the limitation of the Amp limits on 18650 batteries, they pulse fire the mod to exploit the higher pulse rating. It only fires up to 70w in TC mode too.

Forgot to add another level of complication and that being buying from China and the bargains that can be had if you don't mind waiting the postage time. robby is probably the master at highlighting the best that China has to offer anybody just starting off

Any info anyone has on them would be greatly appreciated thanks Alex Do you really need 200W, what are you vaping at the moment? The GB Hotcig DNA200 is exceptional value as phatfil said. There is also supposed to be spare battery packs available. I have the Vapecige DNA200 and while it works very well, it is more or less a built in battery. Even at about 20w vaping, you only get a day out of it and then it`s 5 hours charging time, a bit of a pain. It`s got to the point where I dont really bother with it and use the 2 battery Xcube 2 all the time, two days vaping and replaceable batteries. The Joyetech Evicmini TC is getting great reviews and really good value for money. Lots of choices there but depends on your usual vape power really

Sigelei 150w TC all day long for me, love that thing, built like a brick, super simple menu, twin batteries and 150w is more than enough power, al for £60 can't be bad.

There is just so much out there it's hard to know which way to go when I don't know much about it all lol. Thanks for your help it is much appreciated!

My idea was to get some thing that would do me for a while and have a mod that would do a wide range of w's Oh sorry mate it don't work like that. Welcome to the world of shiny things I started with that idea and somehow ended up with 3 variables, 2 squonkers and a mech. Oh and a 200 being built. I work on the principle that you should always have a spare in the car, 1 in the rucksack and one sat in the drawer "just in case" Thats before you get to the squonker supply Will let you get settled in before introducing you to @windows who makes some lovely mods. Everybody should in my opinion have a wooden mod for those evenings in front of the TV You should also check out the battery thread in the members only section. A very good reason not to buy batteries from unknown sources if ever I have seen one

If you are looking for something to wet your interest, the SMOK XCube2 is great value. It`s a two battery mod, does just about everything including TC etc and currently on a limited sale from Gearbest. Currently the cheapest price I have seen at £34-86 here :- www.gearbest.com/electronic-cigarettes/pp_211139.html?wid=1 That is the silver one which I have and use most of the time. Two days vaping from the batteries at about 20W. It`s a time limited sale just today I think but still loads left
