So just checking something g before I get the vg and nic in the post.
I'll use the forum mix calc probably. Once done do I simply add the ingredients in the amounts said in the calc?
Will be mixing at 70 % vg. Nic will be vg based 70% and I want 3 mg. Anyways all that can be worked out on calculator I guess.
After reading some of the guides it said it's not needed to dilute vg with modern rtas. However it's obviously thick. So ..
Can I heat the vg and pg so they mix quicker and better? Also if yes can I also heat the nic base? Or will this cook of the nic content? Flavouring I'm confident I should not heat

No dont be heating it, especially not the nic.
There's little point anyway as once it cools it return to its preheated viscosity.
If it's to thick for your tank / wicking method then either use more PG, dilute your VG with vodka or distilled water or buy some AG

Yes I presume that you mean that your nic will be 70mg/m l (which is 7%). No, nicotine is destroyed by heating [ETA] 'd by Greg !

wot they said .. the best way i think to mix juice is inside a sealed bottle with at least 1/3rd empty space and simply shake..

Buy it will have been easy to syringe up. Also it will be able to be shaken and mixed better so presumably give a jump start on steeping? Postmodern Smoking with regards nic yes 70mg or 7% sorry Also can I decant the pg into say a 500 ml pop bottle and then use the pg bottle to hold mixed product? Or will plastic from pop bottle be an issue with pg in it?

most pop bottles are PET which will be fine with juice, so why not use the pop bottle to mix in

You'd do better to follow Greg's advice Peter and dilute a little, then it will be easy enough to syringe up/shake - heat isn't good for eliquid. As well as degrading nicotine it can also cause flavours to as well - leading to a dry tasting mix. Time and a little patience are all you need for steeping . . . . .

A little later you can flush your new juice down the can and start again, this time without heating anything I guess some just need to learn the hard way.

Didn't mean to sound childish or spoilt sorry. Was just seeing g if there was a way to kick start the process. I figured that in the pg and vg base there was no nic or flavouring so they could be heated and mixed without an issue I do listen though and won't do it

Didn't mean to sound childish or spoilt sorry. You didn't really peter12 . . . . just impatient. Like it has to be said many home mixers when they're first starting out - understandably keen to try out their handiwork in the minimum of time. Which is why it's useful to get a couple of concentrates that require a nominal time steeping, get a decent result from those then you've the incentive to have the patience for recipes that take longer to be at their nicest. Once you're in the habit of having regular mixing sessions, in no time you'll have a selection of well steeped eliquid to choose from.

Or in no time you'll have far too much to vape and far too little time I get far too carried away, I set down to do just say 5 mixes and end up with 12-15 bottles around me.........oh and then I remember I haven't done my staples so away I go again and then they don't all fit in the steeping box upstairs
