No vapers in Italy

I have just returned from a holiday in Italy, traveling through France and Switzerland. I only saw 1 vaper during the week and no vape shops.
When I asked the waiter at the hotel (he was a smoker) he said there was no need to vape as cigarettes were only 4 euros per pack. When I asked about health considerations all I got was a Galic shrug.
If this is echoed around Europe where cigarettes are cheap we do not stand much chance in opposing TPD

Interesting, goneforagasper . I love Italy and have been a few times, but not since I started Vaping. I did get a sense that the culture is not as overtaken by the public health scare thing as we are here. Once went to (quite a posh, for me) hotel in Rome, they had given me a none smoking room by accident. I asked to be moved and the receptionist said 'no worries, smoke by the window and I'll have an ash tray sent up...'!

I think you're right, several countries in Europe will not get het up about TPD because they are not taking much notice of the regs anyway!

It's weird, I was in Croatia last year, within 30 minutes of arriving found vape shop, met lot of local vapors, yet under 3 euro a packet for stinkies there, just returned from California, the home of vaping I was lead to understand, vapors as rare as rocking horse s**t. Who can work it out ????
Think it just depends where you are locally.

Mind you just to add to this local laws stink everywhere, California, home of clean living, has real solid anti smoking laws, real strong emision laws for cars, yet ciggies are £3 a packet and everyone driving a V6 or V8 car, it's down to tax and what we can get out of you, usual goverment thing. And as veg importer I was appalled at prices of vegtables, despite driving hundreds of miles through production fields, locals agreed with this.
