Smok x cube 2 up to 180w

For those running the x cube 2, smok have just released a firmware update to take your box upto 180w, as well as sorting a couple other minor niggles.

Gotta say, now I've had mine running for a week, it is absolutely superb. Few issues running the uwell crown in tc mode but that's because of the coils and not the cube so all in all really pleased with it.

Did either of you go for the black version? Seen one today and now I really with I had it in black

Yep, mine's a black one; I thought that the silver version would be too much of a fingerprint magnet, and black might enable me to get away with using it in the house as my other mods are black as well!!

Wish I'd gone for the black one, mine is covered in fingerprints.

Finger prints I can cope with, it scratches so easily :/ I've had to put a skin on mine which really does distract from the fine feel it has but saves it from anymore damage.

I was one of the first on here to get one, I hated it to start with (I still think it's a hideous brick) but it has got better with time and now vapes very well.

And I'm still running a 'stock' model on it's original software, I'm not planning on using titanium, I've never got anywhere near 160w and my thoughts are "if it ain't broke!!!"

Got my black one today wooooo hoooo, love it, definitely a better choice than the silver one, got both though

Not having a phone that I can connect with, I got a USB 4 dongle and put it into my Android MX3 tv box and it connects, so another option if you need it  Could not get it to connect on a PC for some reason, not even with Bluestacks.

Likewise Q I've never been past 70w on it and doubt I ever will, the only reason I updated to the current firmware was because I can

although I like it, I'm still at the point I'd wish I'd got a snow Wolf but I'm hoping that changes

The upgrade went on absolutely fine (though I also can't ever see going upto that wattage), but is anybody else having trouble with the Smart BEC app?

It'll connect to the mod OK, but I've been trying to log in to upgrade to recognise Titanium coils and it crashes every time?

Yep. The app on my phone started to crash a few days ago.  Smok really need to get this app sorted or better still write it for PC/Mac.

Yep same problem here, I believe it's because they are creating a new forum type section for users. Why they can't just leave the current one up until they're finished I will never know

OK, cheers ringading and alexthebear, at least I know it's not just a problem at my end, I'll just keep my powder dry until they release the updated version.

It is annoying that the current one isn't offering full functionality for the mod in the meantime, though, but I'll just take the advice I got on another thread and run the Ti on lower temperatures for now.
