Morning all.
Thank you all so much for taking the time to reply and offer help. It looks like I have 3 great RBA options here to choose from and I will be checking them all out today.
I'm starting to think the problem might be as simple as the drip tip on the Subtank though. The drip tip air hole on the Subtank is truly massive (like 10x) compared to the iClear 30s and I think it might be that which is throwing me off. Sadly the iClear tips don't fit as they are threaded so I can't test it straight away, but I'm going to see if I can find a smaller bore drip tip today to order and try it before I discount the Subtank entirely.
Checked on Fast-Tech and hundreds of drip tips - oh my!
Thanks again to everyone - this community is just awesome.

Agree with everyone here Kayfun is the way to go. I have 6 of them now and is what i use all day everyday as easy no hassle amazing flavour vape.
Get the 3.1es if you want to hold lots of eliquid. Lite Plus v2 is next on the list holding about 3-4 ml plus you can get nano kits for these which look amazing imo.
I prefer the 3.1es as there is an easy way to top fill it on the go so no need for fiddly screw drivers.

Thanks again to everyone. I've taken on board all of your comments and I've now pretty much settled on a Kayfun Lite Plus v2.
I'm just waiting for a new "tighter" drip-tip to arrive today for the subtank to make sure it is not just that which is throwing me off. Failing that, the Kayfun Lite it is. I see Creme De Vape have a genuine one? for £49.99 - I think I'll go for it.
I'm getting on really well with the Disrupter and iClear 30s, but I really want that rebuildable aspect.
For the first time yesterday I vaped a whole tank of juice in a day and only had 3 real smokes early morning. This morning I only had 1 real smoke first thing (tasted horrible) before willingly switching over to vaping.
Tomorrow is going to be my first completely smoke free day - woot!

I won't keep posting here as you have all been through this yourselves, but I just wanted to say I did not have a smoke today and have now been smoke free for just under 34 hours. I'm a tad cranky, but otherwise feeling great and nowhere near as bad as I remember previous attempts, all thanks to vaping of course. I made a mistake with the new drip tip I ordered (way, way too small - sigh) but I have decided to hold off getting another tank or other new kit and just concentrate on getting through this first week smoke free.
I'll revisit this thread in a week or two, but in the meantime, thanks again to everyone for your help and guidance!

You said that the Subtank drip-tip was too big a hole and the new one way too small, in what way, too small a hole or it isn't a 510 fitting? Perhaps we can point you in the right direction?

Hi Sydsut. It was totally my error for not checking the dimensions properly. It is a 510 fitting, but the actual drip-tip itself has a stem and mouthpiece the size of a matchstick, so one extreme to the other. I just face-palmed myself when I saw it :-)
I've ordered some bigger ones from Fast-Tech now along with some 30s coils, so I should be sorted when they eventually arrive. Thanks though mate!

Well, 6 days a non smoker now and shinyitus certainly kicked in. I am now the proud owner of a genuine Kayfun Lite Plus v2, Kayfil tool, 2 x 510 bridgeless atomisers (for testing new juices), reel of 28G Kanthal, bacon wool, coiling tool, plus have some new drip tips and reserve emergency iclear coils coming from Fast-Tech.
My first build didn't go so well, the coil which I expected to be the hard part was actually fine (1.7ohm), but once I'd put it all back together I had flooding within and a lot of leaking from the airhole. I took it all apart using the Kayfil tool (what a tool, thanks phtumshk, I needed it within the first 2 hours :-) and found the chimmney had completely loosened itself somehow during assembly. I checked the coil and cotton while I was in there, trimmed the cotton off a bit, and rebuilt. Works like a charm. You guys were 100% corrrect about this, the draw of the Kayfun is exactly what I was looking for!
The downside is that my Manabush Nokomis juice tastes completely (and I mean completely) different now. Much stronger taste which almost masks all of the subtle sweet and biscuity tones I enjoyed before. I thought it was burning at first but tested the juice on the 510 bridgless and the taste is certainly closer to the Kayfun, so I guess it must just have been the iClear's bringing out that sweeter subtle taste. I've tried various watts too and it's the same. I'll try making a 2.1 ohm coil tomorrow as this is what is in the iclear. Otherwise I might be looking for a sweeter lighter juice now my kit is sorted.
The Kayfun itself though is glorious. Thank you all very much again for sorting me out! :-)

Day 10 as a non smoker and a final update from me in this thread I think. I now have two Kayfun Lite Plus 2's and have my eye on that KFL dripper addon - oh my, oh my :-)
As for juice. I'd originally tried a batch of Manabush juices in the iClear 30s's and discounted a couple of them as being too similar to Nokomis, including Chiricahua Sun. As Nokomis tasted so differently in the KFL I rescued the Chiricahua Sun bottle from the bin and filled up the Kayfun to give it another try. Wow. Straight away I could taste all of the wonderful flavours everyone was talking about (it's like a (mild) liquid snickers bar that's been gently smoked over a wood fire). I've already vaped the rest of that bottle! Only negative thing I would say about it is that it gets through wicks very quickly compared to others in the range like Powow, but I'd happily change wicks every tankful for that awesome flavour (it only takes a minute to change the wick after all). I'll be ordering a big bottle of Chiricahua Sun shortly as soon as I've worked out if I can manage on 12mg nicotine rather than 18mg (testing today with 12mg Powow).
So to conclude, I started off my comments here (in the other thread) stating that I had tried vaping just over a year ago and whilst enjoyable I didn't find it enough to actually stop me smoking. Well, this time, a year on, thanks to your advice and with the right equipment (and juice), it has not only stopped me smoking but I actually prefer vaping to smoking. Have a great weekend and thanks again everyone!

Great news @hondo, glad that the kit recommendations are hitting the spot for you! You should be OK lowering your nic intake now, as the KFL will be vapourising a lot more juice than the iClear, and this will produce more nicotine per hit.
