Istick 40 TC bit of help and credit to FT

Just got my above through, all credit to FT for fast delivery (under 3 weeks is good in my book for anything with battery).


Couple of questions I need help with, due to it arriving in work I've got no box or manual. Do these work same as the old 20's you need less power than a normal VW, I used to use 5,5W on the old 20 and 9.5 on anything else, struggling to find sweet spot on this (ok it's first day). Also the buttons are buggering me a little as i'm left handed, but did see somewhere you can reverse it all for us awkward sods.

Switch between Temp Control and Variable Wattage

With the device turned on, press and hold the Menu Button for 5 seconds. This will switch from your current power option to the other. Repeating the process will change it back.

In VW mode:

The output wattage can be adjusted from 1w to 40w by pressing the up and down adjustment buttons.

In TC mode:

Output wattage:

In TC-Ni mode, maxium output wattage is 40w

Adjust Temp:

In TC-Ni modetemp can be adjusted from 100-315 °C or 200-600 °F by pressing the up or down adjustment buttons. Holding the button down will increase the rate at which the settings change.

Lock/Unlock atomizer resistance:

In TC-Ni mode, press and hold the Fire Button and the Up Button for 2 seconds, a padlock symbol will appear over the ohms (Ω) symbol When locked.

Please be sure to lock the atomizer base resistance when the atomizer coil is cool (at room temp).

In Locked Mode when you remove the atomizer the battery can retain the locked base resistance, although the coil resistance may increase due to the rise of temp.

In Unlocked Mode, When you remove a coil and put a new/same coil back on, the device may ask you "New Coil UP Same Down" If a new coil press Up if the same coil press Down.

Please be sure to unlock the resistance when changing the atomizer to a new one with a different resistance.

The power is as shown on display as it 'steps down' ( I think that's the right tech talk ).

To switch display:- turn device off, press & hold up & down buttons for 2 seconds. Turn back on & it should be reversed.

what tank and coil are you using as this makes a lot of difference.
what ive used
nautilus/mini nautilus 1.6 / 1.8 coils max 14watt

subtank mini 1.2 OCC coils 20watt. used at work every day for all day custard vape and coil last 3-4 weeks

freemax starre pro 0.25 coil max 40watt and not enough. now use istick100

uwell crown 1.2 dual wrap coil 40watt and not enough. now use istick100

Just using a standard boge 3ohm setup, it's sitting charging at moment (not as much life as I imagined).

The button one i'll give a go, easy to confuse an old boy lol.
